Thursday, November 5, 2009 - Earlier this year Julia Overton of Ashley High School was selected by the Kure Beach Town Council to author a mural for placement in the new annex of Town Hall. The large mural will be painted on large panels affixed to the wall in the new hallway on the southern side of Town Hall and display artwork depicting the Town of Kure Beach and important people who have helped shape the community over the years. Last week the Council met with Overton to exchange ideas and review a draft of the mural.
