The Boat Show committee invites members of the media to participate in any of the following events. FRIDAY, MAY 19
“Boating DIY” Education Series – Carteret Community College – Friday May 19th - 8:30AM-4PM  
In partnership with the Carteret Community College, the Crystal Coast Boat Show is expanding to include a Boat Buying Education Series on Friday, May 19th.  Individuals interested in learning more about boats, maintenance, and enjoying your inshore catch are encouraged to attend morning and afternoon classes hosted by the college's MARTEC, Culinary, and the Marine Propulsion System Programs. 8:30AM: Registration; 9AM-11AM: Understand & Maintain Your Outboard Motor – Marine Propulsion Department; 11:30AM-1:30PM: Sea to Table Demonstration & Lunch – Hospitality Department; 2PM-4PM: All About Boats – Boat Manufacturing Department. “Float Your Boat” Art Exhibit – Carolina Artist Gallery (800 Evans. St.) – Friday, May 19th - 11AM-5PM
Carolina Artist Gallery has invited artists to display  two and three dimensional work that will complement the Crystal Coast Boat Show. All drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures feature boats, antique cars and fishing themes. The “Float Your Boat” exhibit is also open Sunday, May 21 from 1-4pm. ArtWalk – Friday, May 19th - 5PM-8PM
In partnership with Carolina Artist Gallery, the Crystal Coast Boat Show is expanding to include an Art Walk throughout downtown on Friday, May 19th  from 5pm-8pm.  A schedule of participants can be picked up at 800 Evans Street, Morehead City before the event.
SATURDAY, MAY 20
Crystal Coast Boat Show – Jaycee Park, Shepard St. and Big Rock Landing – Saturday, May 20th -  9AM-5PM
Entering its 10th year, the Crystal Coast Boat Show is one of Eastern Carolina’s premier events, featuring marine products and services, fishing gear, boat brokers, sailing races, boating education and various activities, including an antique car show and cornhole tournament. Admission is free to the public and all events are hosted in beautiful downtown Morehead City, North Carolina. Music all day from DJ Raymond Rigsbee at Jaycee Park. Sail Carteret Demonstrations, Displays & Free Sailboat Rides – 10th Street Beach – Saturday, May 20th - 9AM-5PM
This is the 3rd year of Sail Carteret participating in the Crystal Coast Boat Show. See a variety of sailboats and sailing races starting at noon. Individuals interested in racing can participate with a crew. Free sail boat rides for families throughout the weekend.
44th Annual Morehead City Antique Auto Club of America Car Show – Katherine Davis Park – Saturday, May 20th - 9AM-3PM
Taking place at Katherine Davis Park in Morehead City, the Morehead City Chapter, Antique Automobile Club of America will hold its 44th annual car show featuring vintage vehicles that are no less than 25 years old. Pre-registration is $15 per vehicle; day of show registration is $20.
Sunshine Band Kickoff – Jaycee Park – Saturday, May 20th -10:30AM
The Carteret Community Sunshine Band is the Crystal Coast's Premier volunteer concert band, featuring more than 50 band members, ages 13 to 80. The band includes students, teachers, scientists, medical professionals, lawyers, business professionals, clergy, homemakers, and retired service members. The Sunshine Band has participated in every Crystal Coast Boat Show since the event’s inception. www.carteretsunshineband.org.
