Dad’s, Dinos and Donuts at Aquarium

KURE BEACH, N.C. — The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher serves up a memorable weekend for those with a ferocious appetite for prehistoric knowledge. Treat dad and the family to “Dinos and Donuts” on June 16 and 17, 2018. The one-hour breakfast program delivers a rare treat appropriate for dinosaur lovers of all ages.
Dinosaur expert Chris DeLorey will share his knowledge and adventures during breakfast and lead a walking tour of the “DINOSAURS!” exhibit before the Aquarium opens to the public. He will introduce guests to dozens of life-sized animatronic dinosaurs stalking the outdoor garden. DeLorey, also known as Dr. Dino, entertains while he educates, delivering decades of experience as both education director at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida and a fossil hunter. He will share dino facts and fossils for an engaging experience. In addition, participants will take home a dinosaur-related souvenir.
The breakfast menu includes Wake N Bake donuts, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice and milk. The breakfast  and program is $18 for 13 years old and older, $16 for children 3-12, $5 for two year olds, and free for children one and younger. N.C. Aquarium Society members receive a 10 percent discount. Reservations are required for the 8 a.m. breakfast. Space is limited. Aquarium admission is included. In addition, Dr. Dino will give additional dinosaur programs at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. This activity is free with Aquarium admission and does not include a meal or require registration.
