Buni Vi Parks passed away Monday January 15, 2018 peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was surrounded by her daughter Ashley, Aunt Betty & many friends.

Born in West Springfield, Massachusetts March 15, 1956.

She was the daughter of the late Gwendolyn Vi and Wilbur Parks. In addition to her parents Buni was preceded in death by her brother Paul Harold Parks.

After graduating John T Hoggard High she attended East Carolina University school of Nursing for a year.

Buni was member of Coastal Community Vineyard Church for many years.

While attending The Vineyard she established her cleaning business after cleaning the church for many years she named her business Christian Cleaning.

She had many employees over the years. The past few years when her COPD was slowing her down her daughter Ashley has been working with her.

She was a Cub Scout leader for her grandson Brayton Freeman. They enjoyed many camping trips together and building their Pinewood derby cars.

She was a contributing writer for Island Gazette for a few years.

Buni enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking for all of us, she loved her dog Lady Bug and eating a good meal!

Our Buni was always trying to teach us how to rearrange our "stuff". I am sure in a short time you will notice all the Stars have been rearranged.

We will miss her presence forever and will always be listening for the sound of her voice, the ting of her texting and her unending love for her Ashley and Brayton. Bum will be remembered as caring and giving individual.

Buni is survived by her daughter Ashley Parks & Grandson Brayton Freeman, Aunt Betty Mckenzie & Ann Cribb & her loving cousins, her many friends growing up on Carolina Beach "The Beach Kids".

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm February 10, 2018 at Saint Paul's Methodist Church on Harper Avenue in Carolina Beach N.C.

With Rev. Steve Maths & Rev. Jim Snider officiating. The family looks forward to greeting guest at a reception following the service.
