The Town will be holding a project workshop to review the utility and street improvement that are planned for the areas north of Clarendon and south of Harper from the ocean to 5th Street (Phase B).  The workshop will be held in an informal setting so staff can meet one on one to answer questions about how properties will be impacted. You can contact Ed Parvin with any questions or comments prior to the meeting at 458-2526, عنوان البريد الإلكتروني هذا محمي من روبوتات السبام. يجب عليك تفعيل الجافاسكربت لرؤيته..  A map of the project can be viewed on the Town’s website under the projects page. http://www.carolinabeach.org/projects/index.php
All property owners in the vicinity should attend to see how property access will be changing.
WHAT: Review Street and Utility upgrades and proposed scheduling.  Ask questions directly to staff, contractor, and project manager.
WHEN: Thursday July 7, 2016 anytime between 6:00 – 8:00pm
WHERE: Carolina Beach Town Hall Council Room, 1121 N Lake Park Blvd., Carolina Beach, NC.
The Phase B project is the second of 5 phases of capital improvement infrastructure projects that have been designed to enhance:
1. Pedestrian and vehicular transportation. 2. Water flow and quality. 3. Sewer service. 4. Storm water. 5. Other utilities (i.e. cable, electric, etc.)
Now, this is a very important meeting. Learn from previous projects where residents along Cape Fear Blvd were plagued with dust, lots of torn up yards, numerous delays and other issues. Attend this meeting and ask questions about the time-line, contingency plans, what the Town will and will not do for you. Points of contact and most importantly, get commitments from officials for future reference.
Also, there is a link to the "Phase B Water, Sewer, And Stormwater" plans on the Town's website, but the link doesn't work in Google Chrome, the new Windows Browser or Firefox on two of my machines running Windows 8 and Windows 10. Also, it will not load on a Linux computer.
So call Town Hall at 910-458-2999 to get a copy of the plans to review prior to the meeting to better educate yourself on what the project includes. UPDATE: The day after this was published the Town fixed the link on their website and said that someone must have been working on the site that day. At the time I viewed it was 11PM.
