CAROLINA BEACH - The Carolina Beach Police Department announced May 1st, the April 21st, arrest of 49 year old Timothy Alan Furr of Glenville, WV after a traffic stop that resulted in numerous drug related charges.

Police found over 21 grams of Methamphetamine.

According to Scott Hettinger with the Police Department, "At 4:39 PM, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Lake Park Blvd. in reference to a vehicle collision.  Upon arrival to the scene officers met with the drivers of the vehicles involved.  While speaking to Furr, an open container of alcohol was observed in plain view in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and over 21 grams of Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and marijuana were located."

Hettinger explained Furr was placed on a $10,000 dollar secured bond by the Magistrate and confined in the New Hanover County Jail.  Furr was charged with:
(1 Count) possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver (PWIMSD) a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance.
(1 Count) Maintaining a Vehicle for the Use/Sale of a Controlled Substance.
(1 Count) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. (1 Count) Possession of Marijuana.
(1 Count) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
(1 Count) Driving While License Revoked.
(1 Count) Fail to Yield -Left Turn.
