Deputies Spoil Armed Robbery At Monkey Junction Wal-Mart Featured

NEW HANOVER CTY - Four people are behind bars at the New Hanover County Jail following an arrest Monday December 15th, in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart at Monkey Junction on South College Road.
According to Sergeant J.J. Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department, "Deputies arrested four people on Monday December 15, 2014 for attempted armed robbery in the Wal-Mart parking lot at Monkey Junction.  Deputies received information of a drug deal going on in the parking lot of Wal-Mart and Murphy gas station. Deputies approached the vehicle and conducted a felony vehicle stop in which five individuals were detained.  While conducting their investigation Deputies discovered that four of the suspects had pulled handguns on one individual in attempt to rob him. Deputies placed the four suspects under arrest and transported them to the New Hanover County Detention Facility."
Tamrick Jamar Hobley - 20 year old Black male - was charged with two felony counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two felony counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon Conspiracy, misdemeanor Communicating Threats, misdemeanor Assault inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor Assault by pointing a gun, misdemeanor Assault and battery, one felony count of Possession with Intent To Sell Distribute drugs, misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia, one felony count of Kidnapping 1st degree, and four misdemeanor counts of Failure to appear.
Hobley received a $2,004,300.00 secure bond.
Joseph Edward Hanible - 28 year old black male, was charged with felony Kidnapping 1st degree, felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon Conspiracy, misdemeanor Assault by pointing a gun, felony Maintaining a vehicle for drugs, felony Possession with Intent To Sell Distribute  Counterfeit controlled substance, misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor Communicating Threats, and felony Possession with Intent To Sell Distribute Heroin. Hanible received a $1,500,000.00 secure bond.
Matthew Lewis Rousey - 19 year old white male - was charged with felony Kidnapping 1st degree, misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor Assault and battery, felony Possession with Intent To Sell Distribute Counterfeit controlled substance, felony Weapon possession by felon, misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia, felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon Conspiracy. Rousey received a  $1,500,000.00 secure bond
Demetrius Allen Campbell - 23-year-old black male - was charged with felony Possession of heroin, misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony Conspiracy sell/deliver controlled substance.
Campbell received a $300,000.00 secure bond.
