Flu Season is quickly approaching and there is no better time to be prepared for the worst, than right now. That’s why you and your family should visit Masonboro Urgent Care today. Not only do they offer flu and pneumonia shots, but also antivirals and IV hydration for those who need them. There are many signs and symptoms associated with the flu that you should be on the lookout for. People who have the flu often exhibit one or more of the following signs and symptoms: fever or feeling feverish with chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches and fatigue. If you or someone you know displays one or more of these symptoms, then it’s time for a visit to Masonboro Urgent Care.
You may already have the flu and just don’t know it yet. It is possible to pass the flu onto someone else before you even realize you are sick, as well as while you are sick. Most adults can infect others a day or so, before symptoms develop and up to a week after becoming sick. Young children and people with weakened immune systems may be able to infect others for an even longer period of time. Most people are able to recover from flu at home, without receiving medical care. However, certain people, such as the elderly, young children, women who are pregnant and people with certain health conditions like asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, may be at risk for serious flu-related complications. So, as they say, it’s better to be safe, than sorry.
Masonboro Urgent Care now offers “Remote Check-In” through Qless.  No more sitting in the waiting room for hours at a time. With remote check-in you can go about your business for the day, while waiting for a return email or text that will let you know where you are in line and when to come into the office. You can use this remote check-in system by accessing a widget on their website, at or by texting the word “masonboro” to 910-363-2836.
