“A man is not rightly conditioned until he is a happy, healthy, and prosperous being; and happiness, health, and prosperity are the result of a harmonious adjustment of the inner with the outer of the man with his surroundings.” ~James Allen

How easy it would be if environment simply entailed the water of the earth, the resources of the earth and the plight of Mother Nature.
I found myself going deeper into that so-called “environment” exploring the micro world as well as the macro.
It occurred to me that all I desire for health and happiness for myself, my family, friends and planet begins not out there somewhere but deep within.  Living Green begins within myself.  My personal environment is created by what I do, what I think, what I feel and what my body is automatically signaling (aches and pains.)
Why is it so difficult to create a utopia in my psyche?  The hardest part lies in the fact that while my conscious mind is totally on board with this concept, my subconscious mind (which is operating my being 95% of the time) is doing it’s own thing.  Remember to remember...becoming aware.
William Glasser, MD developed Choice Theory which explains that humans are internally, not externally motivated.
Our thoughts and actions (behavior) are directly related to five Basic Needs:  to be loving and connected to others; to achieve a sense of competence and personal power; to act with a degree of freedom and autonomy; to experience joy and fun; and to survive.
Pyramid feng shui creates the external atmosphere to support us internally. A space created with love and cooperation fulfills the need to belong.
A space revealing achievements, recognitions and respect fulfills the need for power.
A space created by choices fulfills the need for freedom.   A space created for laughing and playing fulfills the need for fun.  A space created for safety and protection fulfills the need for survival.
These conditions result in harmonizing both the inner and outer world.  Choose happiness.  Choose health.  Choose prosperity.  Now that’s a legacy to leave this world.  xo mo
