“All we have to fear, is fear itself.”  ~President Franklin D. Roosevelt

Several years ago I had a phenomenal experience in Denver, Colorado at a retreat with Dr. Bruce Lipton.  I had met Bruce 16 years ago at Kripalu when he was the keynote speaker at an FSIA conference.   He is an internationally recognized authority in bridging science and spirit.  As a Research Fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine his research revealed that the environment, unlike the established dogma that genes control life, controlled the biology of the cell.  This resulted in two major scientific publications that defined molecular pathways connecting the mind and body.
Dr. Lipton has exemplified how this new science can lead to conscious decisions improving physical, mental and spiritual quality day-to-day.  He described at length how proteins are the building blocks of the cells, where DNA fits into the scheme, and how the “stimulus-response” switch regulates the cell’s physiological processes.
Survival dictates that you (a community of 50 trillion cells) are at any given time either in growth mode or protection mode.  When you are in growth mode (love) your body is thriving, life is good and all systems are functioning at full capacity.  Protection mode (fear) occurs when responding to life threatening stimuli.
This binary system is so simple.   Kissing and hugging those you love creates good vibes producing growth mode.  The phone rings, you suspect a creditor is calling for a past due payment and your vibes have switched from love to fear influencing the adrenal hormones which signal your systems to conserve energy preparing for “fight or flight.”  Unfortunately, your immune system, a high budget organization, cuts back during times of stress.  This is the uncomplicated reason why stress plays havoc on your health.
YOU are more than a body made up of 50 trillion cells.   Who you are, or SELF, is now found to be an entity or “driver” separate from the body or “machine.”  The self- receptors in your cells give a sense of identity receiving information from the environment.  Your biology is determined by your perception of this environmental information.  This is key to the mind-body-spirit connection.
We (much like cells) combine to make up a larger community, which at any given time is operating by the same binary system.  The consequences of a world consumed with fear will eventually destroy itself.  I cannot control the world, but I can control myself, one little cell in this great organism we call humanity.   Contact me for an appointment to learn how to switch your biology from fear to love.  xo mo
