“Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source - a Sower of Dreams - just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.” ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach

One of our guests on New Years Eve commented on a painting we have by Jodi Ohl.  He especially liked the image of the bird with the words, “This is your year to shine.”  He took the omen personally and appreciated the encouragement.
In ancient China, proverbs were used to help each person become the best person they could be.  Many cultures recognize signs and symbols in the world around them.  The day we poured the footer for the new house, I noticed a white feather on the ground on our lot.  For the next ten days straight, I noticed white feathers in all sorts of places.  I was in Pier One and purchased white feathered birds to perch in our Christmas tree.  We traveled to Copenhagen and I purchased a 10-inch Christmas tree made of white feathers which will be placed on the altar for our new house during the blessing ceremony.  We visited relatives in Sweden and they took us to Ullared, the largest shopping area in Scandinavia, where I found the most beautiful dream catcher made of white feathers.  I asked myself, “What do the white feathers mean?”  After a little googling I came to the conclusion that my white feathers were a sign of the existence of an unseen realm, home to angels and spirits of loved ones passed on, reminding me of faith and protection.
According to, “In Native American culture, the appearance of random white feathers signifies rebirth and new beginnings, and feathers are commonly worn on Native American headdresses to symbolize hope and faith as well as to strengthen the connection between the physical and spiritual world.”
Signs and symbols surround us daily.  They are there whether we notice them or not. Subconsciously we are being bombarded by this secret language.  Awareness begins when we start interpreting these signs consciously.  2017 is the year of the Fire Rooster.  The Rooster is calling us to WAKE UP!!  Life is about so much more than our daily duties.  When called in to do a feng shui consultation for a client, I always insist that they give me three areas of their life they want to improve.  More times than not, they say a combination of ‘health,’ ‘wealth,’ and ‘relationships.’  I use the tools I’ve been trained in to set up the space, changing the patterns to create success in my clients’ space, but it is actually the ’person’ in the ‘place’ that is doing the real work.
Today it is possible to believe in yourself and make your dreams come true.  This is YOUR year to shine.  Call me if you want me to set up your space.  xo mo
