“Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.” ~ John Lennon

In New York City on the west side of Central Park between 71st and 74th Streets, you will come upon one of my favorite places, a meditative spot known as Strawberry Fields. It is a memorial to John Lennon, created by the efforts of Yoko Ono Lennon, landscape architect Bruce Kelly, the Central Park Conservancy and an additional gift from the city of Naples, Italy who’s talented craftsmen created the black and white mosaic mandala with one word in the middle, “IMAGINE.”
When I saw the round version of a similar looking mandala floor cloth made by the Vintage Floor Cloth Company, the idea came to me to have this design at the entrance of our new home.  I have been carrying these floor cloths in my studio and I LOVE them.  They come in all sorts of designs, colors and sizes.  What I love about them and about living at the beach, is that sand just wipes right off of them.  You can shake or sweep off.  I have many to choose from and they can be ordered in different sizes, shapes and colorways.  The small ones run $49 and they are perfect in front of a kitchen sink.  Stop in and check them out.  I think you will be impressed.
For a small design fee my personal 6’ round floor cloth will come with the word, “IMAGINE” in the center as a reminder of that place I love.  It will hail to all who enter.
It gives me great joy to help others incorporate their own story in their space. It does not appeal to me to purchase a typical ‘room to go’ or copy a picture from a magazine other than for inspiration.  We human beings are so much more special than that.
Good feng shui is as individual as the person in the place.  Your home should tell YOUR story.  If this seems daunting to you, let me help you.  As Lennon said, “It’s nothin’ to get hung about.”  Strawberry Fields Forever.  xo mo
