This past weekend Pack 210 hosted their Annual Pinewood Derby at the Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church. A pinewood derby is a racing event where Cub Scouts, build their own cars from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. Scouts customize their designs and car shapes for both speed and appearance! Each division had a first, second and third place winner with one overall champion. This year’s overall winner who keeps full bragging rights for the year is 7-year-old Zachary Ozazewski. Zacahry attends the Island Montessori School and attributes his win to his sleek, lightweight design!
Cub Scout Pack 210 has been in existence for well over 35 years in Carolina Beach, NC. They welcome all boys between 1st grade and 5th grade to share in the exciting world of scouting. The Mission Statement of Troop 210 is to first, uphold the Mission statement of the Boy Scouts of America, which is, “Prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and the Scout law.” For more information follow Cub Scout Pack 210 on Facebook or visit
