Girl Scout Troop 867 Supports Meals on Wheels

By / Life on the Island / Wednesday, 16 December 2015 05:00

This past Friday several Girl Scouts from Troop 867 spent their Friday evening helping those in need. In conjunction with the Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church (CBPC) the scouts prepared salads and baked fresh cookies for meals on wheels as a continuing service project. They also completed several knot blankets with the church’s children ministry in memory of Ms Mary Cochran. CBPC Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers approximately 30 meals to people on the island and across the bridge. While they depend on a core group each month, there is always a need for the help of other congregation members who wish to be involved on an as-needed basis, e.g., providing a side dish to complement the main entrée, providing homemade bread, providing transportation to deliver the meals, etc. Feel free to call (910) 458-5417 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
