CBES Students Prepare for “Battle of the Books”

Last week Carolina Beach Elementary School’s “Battle of the Books” club met with Mrs Woodard to be quizzed on key details from the 2015-16 selections.  Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive program for 4th and 5th graders.  The purpose is to encourage students to read good books and have fun while doing it. The North Carolina School Library Media Association 2015-2016 Elementary Battle of the Books are as follows: A Dog’s Life by Ann M. Martin. Because of Winn¬Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech. Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret; Scumble by Ingrid Law. The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies; Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. The Old Willis Place by Mary Downing Hahn. School of Charm by Lisa Ann Scott. Stella by Starlight by Sharon M. Draper.
