Over 290 Kids Attend Rec Center Valentine’s Dance

This past Saturday, February 13ththe Carolina Beach Recreation Center hosted their Annual Valentine’s Day Dance. Over 290 kids from ages 6 to 12 years old danced the evening away and enjoyed a newly installed photo booth!
Guests donated over 522 canned food items to assist the Federal Point Help Center.  DJ Tommy Gunn from Jammin’ 99.9 spinned the latest hits while kids enjoyed drinks and pizza.  The night ended in a fierce dance competition.  The results were close, but first place female was Lucy Pinkham and Second Place went to Palyn “Pay Pay” Everhart. For the male division Tosh Whitley First Place and Amaree Kenion took a close Second. The Recreation Center Staff would like to thank the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for their help with the event.
