This past Saturday the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area hosted a Fall Festival and Haunted Trail. During the afternoon, guests enjoyed games, face painting, crafts, prizes, a sand castle contest and inflatable obstacle course! After dark, things got a little spookier as the Basin Trail went to the non-living for the parks Haunted Trail.

November, December, January and February they are open daily from 8a.m. until 6p.m. They offer Education and Events, Fishing, hiking, Off-Roading, Picnicking and swimming.
