Prior to moving to Carolina Beach in March of 2015, he was an active member of Cokesbury UMC in Pensacola; and upon moving to Carolina Beach, he joined St Paul's UMC, serving on the Board of Trustees and as Liaison for Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) at Murray Middle School.
He only resided at Carolina Beach one year, but he loved the island and most of all the people.  He grew up Shagging with sand in his shoes so he knew he was home at Carolina Beach.
Don loved his family, life and the beach. Don Turner made people smile.
