Carolina Beach Police Department Goes the Extra Mile to help find a lost disoriented visitor

By / Letters to the Editor / Tuesday, 24 April 2018 14:31

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank our Police Department for their assistance finding a guest who visited our home from California over the weekend of April 14th and got lost and disoriented.
Every Carolina Beach officer who was on duty the night of the 14th demonstrated a professionalism and dedication that I think our town residents have become accustom to but it really hits home when it is one of your friends or family members is saved due to the efforts of our outstanding Police Officers.
Detective Smith stood out as he constantly kept us informed though out the night and worked diligently covering every possible avenue to try to find her.
My wife Kim and I want to recognize all the officers who participated and helped on the evening of the 14th for their outstanding efforts.
Our guests were also very thankful and appreciative of all the work our Police Department put in during those hours.
Fortunately for everyone our visitor was found safe but spent the evening lost until daylight.
If it was not for the efforts of the police department and their coordination with other agencies the outcome may not of been so positive.
Many Thanks to the our Carolina Beach Police Department.
