Hello fellow fishermen and readers, I’m Captain John Theodorakis, the “new guy at the helm” as Captain Mike has said before. As for a brief summary of myself, I am a Wilmington native and have fished out of Carolina Beach most of my life. I am twenty six years old and have had my captains license for a little over two years. I am also a member and supporter of the Got Em On Live Bait Club for going on ten years now. Before I get on track with a fishing report, I would like to thank Captain Mike Harrison for giving me the opportunity at writing the Hook, Line, & Sinker reports. Good luck on your adventures Mike. I’m sure you are having a blast!
With this past week being consumed by Christmas and three, or so inches of rain, I was not able to get on the water. When the weather gets right, I am sure some boats will poke their bows out the inlet in search of the bluefin tunas that have been seen up and down the coast lately. As far as the inshore bite goes, there are still some speckled trout and redfish biting. With the water being so cold, a slower approach will most likely fool these fish. Hopefully, with the start of the new year, there will be more to report on. Good luck out there and be safe.
