Another week closer...As I rode around on the island this week, I couldn’t help but notice all of the smiling faces.
It’s amazing what a little nicer spring weather can do to us. Everyone’s spirit seemed to be lifted. I spoke with a few people that got out to wet a line this week. The reports were good with the redfish starting to feed a little more aggressively. Really that is all it takes, is for the warmer days to heat the water up. I even heard of a few speckled trout hitting the decks this week. From what I understand the annual low tide run went off without a hitch this past Saturday, which is always good news. I hope that now that our weather looks to be a little more consistent with warmer temperatures, I will have much more to report on in the weeks to come. If you get a chance this week to get on the water, take advantage.
Remember what I always say though, safety first!
