12-14 Age Division
Thursday, January30th
• 7:30PM – CBFD vs. American Legion – The American Legion jumped out to a 16-9 lead after the 1st quarter. However by halftime CBFD used a 11-2 lead to take over the lead 20-18 by halftime. After halftime American Legion was able to tie up the game at 28-28 after outscoring CBFD 10-8. In the final quarter American Legion hit 38-points on a 3-pointer by Harry Smith Martin, however CBFD’s Tyler Tranchon’s free throw also but them at 38 by the final buzzer. In the 2 minute overtime period the American Legions Josh Carney hit 3 free throws and a field goal, while CBFD only got 2-points against a tough defense. American Legions 43-40 overtime win improves them to 2-2 while CBFD dropped to 1-3 on there season. HIGHLIGHTS: CBFD: #13 Tyler Tranchon 19, #13 Joseph Barker and #2 Jas Herring 8-points each, #1 Seanan Darakjy 4, and #12  Sebastian Ashby 1.  American Legion: #10 Harry Smith Martin 18, #5 Josh Carney 13, #3 Morgan Moulten 8, and #14 Cosmo Staton and #13 Jett Tugwell 2-points each.
• 8:30PM – El Cazador vs. Superior Medical – This was another very close game with Superior taking a 6-3 lead after the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter Superior was able to out score El Cazador by 3-points again giving them a 6-point lead by halftime 12-6. 3rd quarter El Cazador was able to erase the 6-point lead and tied up the game at 18-18. In the final quarter the teams traded baskets but it proved to be a free throw by Superior that would be the game winner, final score was 28-27. Superior improves to 3-1 while El Cazador drops to 1-4. HIGHLIGHTS: El Cazador: #11 Austin Johnson 11, #1 Jacob Lamkin 7, #10 Winston Davis and #3 Cayne Davis each had 3-points, #5 Brayden West 2, and #13 Sam Hobbs 1. Superior Medical: #13 Aaron Carter 8, #14 Peyton Blankenbecker 7, #5 Jantzen Hartsell 6, #10 Nick Reeves 3, and #3 Owen Davies and #12 Thomas Blankenbecker 2-points each.
Friday, January 30th
• 6:30PM – Nikki’s vs. Michael’s Seafood – Nikki’s was able to hand fairly close to Michael’s in the 1st quarter of this game 12-8. However in the 2nd quarter Michael’s went on a 23-3 run to take a 24-point lead at halftime 35-11. After halftime In the 3rd quarter Michael’s continued to pull away outscoring Nikki’s 17-8 giving them a 52-19 lead. In the final quarter Nikki’s was able to cut into Michael’s lead but it wasn’t enough giving Michael’s the win 58-29. The win keeps Michael’s Seafood perfect at 5-0 on their season while Nikki’s dropped to 0-5. HIGHLIGHTS: Michael’s Seafood: #11 Rocco Farmintino 20, #1 Fisher Waggett and #14 Dimitnus Weakley 9-points each, #10 Ethan Graves and #5 Cade Smith Martin 4-points each, #13 Peyton Fisher and #2 Dylan McGowan 3-points each, and #12 Daniel Stokes, #4 Aiden Smith Martin and #3 Dwight Best 2-points each.
15-17 Age Division
Friday, January 30th
• 7:30PM – Blackburn Brothers vs. Hamm Hearing Aids – This game got off to a close start with Hamm Hearing Aids taking a 1-point lead 10-9. In the 2nd quarter Blackburn was able to pull away taking a 23-17 lead after outscoring Hamm 14-10. In the 3rd quarter both teams picked up 10-points keeping the lead at 6-points 33-27. In the final quarter Blackburn Brothers stepped up their defense and allowed Hamm Hearing just 4-points while their offense picked up 9-points and took the win 42-31. The win keeps Blackburn Brothers perfect at 5-0 and Hamm Hearing dropped to 3-2. HIGHLIGHTS: Blackburn Brothers: #14 Julian Blackburn 14, #3 Justin Blackburn 9, #5 Kyle Dowling 7, #12 Brett Harms 6, #10 Logan Loftin, #4 Grady Yopp, and #13 Dane Schretter 2-points. Hamm Hearing Aids: #3 Nash Best 10, #11 Larry Davis 8, #1 DeAngelo Weakley and #5 Vinny Farmintino 4-points each, #4 Scott Best 3, and #14 Hawthorne and Hamm 2.
• 8:30PM – CBPD vs. Allied Pest Control – CBPD’s offense picked up 23-points in the 1st quarter, while holding Allied to just 10-points. Allied was able to cut the lead to 11-points by halftime after a 13-9 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter Allied Pest control was able to crawl right back into the game going on a 12-2 run cutting the lead down to a point 36-35. However in the final quarter the CBPD was able to pull back away taking the win 52-47. CBPD improves to 2-3 on their season while Allied fell to 0-5 on their season.   HIGHLIGHTS: Allied Pest Control: #11 Josh Johnson 22, #13 Ja’Quel Sidberry 10, #12 Ryan Bailey and #1 Dakota Spruley 6-points each and #3 Joshua Stewart 3-points. CBPD: #1 Braelyn Little 18, #2 Michael Gotto 10, #14 Dillon Smith 9, #12 Brice Eller 7, #3 Jacob Hardison 6, and #11 Ra’Shawn Anglin 2.
6-8 Age Division
Saturday, January 31st
• 9:00AM – Froyoz vs. Island Tackle – Island Tackle used a 10-0 run in the 1st quarter to take a comfortable lead. However after a 4-0 2nd quarter Froyoz CB got back to within 6-points of Island Tackle. In the 3rd quarter After halftime Island Tackle went on another run this time adding 7 more points to their lead now at 13-points 17-4. In the 4th quarter Froyoz was able to cut into but just by a point giving Island Tackle the win 20-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Froyoz CB #10 Grant Rusceti 6 and #4 Wynton Lawrie 2-points. Island Tackle: #2 Rayne Schoonmaker 11, #11 Jack Messer 4-points, #14 Alex Testori and #10 Cody Harrison 2-points each, and #5 Caleb Harrison 1.
• 10:00AM –Island Montessori School vs. PI Exercise – This was a very close game, after a 4-4 1st quarter PI Exercise Club was able to take a 1-point lead after a 4-3 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter both teams continued trading baskets and after a 4-4 quarter PI Exercise Club continued to hold on to their 2-point lead. In the 4th quarter PI Exercise Club was able to pull away after a 4-0 to take the win 16-11. HIGHLIGHTS: PI Exercise Club: #3 Avery Saffo 8, #4 Nate Goins 4, and #5 Roman Smith and #11 Layth Monroe 2-points each. Island Montessori School: #10 Vincent Agrillo 8, #13 Nick Latta 2, and #5 Dylan Burrill 1.
• 11:00AM – CB Realty vs. Hines Senior Center - Hines Senior Center got off to a good start in this game after going on a 5-0 run to start the 1st quarter. CB Realty was able to get to within 3-points by halftime 7-4 after outscoring Hines in the 2nd quarter 4-2. After halftime Hines was able to increase their lead to 4-points 11-7 after outscoring CB Realty 4-3. In the final quarter both teams stepped up their defense and CB Realty was able to get to within a basket, but Hines Senior Center was able to pick up the win thanks to a basket from Shay Payne gave them 13 and the 2-point win. The hard fought win keeps Hines Senior Center undefeated on their season at 5-0 while CB Realty fell to 4-1. HIGHLIGHTS: Hines Senior Center: #5 Shay Payne 5, #11 Connor McPherson 4, and #13 David Lawrence and #12 Talan Groseclose 2-points each. CB Realty: #12 Parker Kitts 4, #11 Wyatt Ellis and #5 Tanner Berry 2-points.
9-11 Age Division
• 1:00PM – CloudWyze vs. CBPD – CBPD was able to jump out to a early 4-2 lead after the 1st quarter of this game. However in the 2nd quarter CloudWyze used a 16-4 run to take over control of the game and take a 10-point halftime lead 18-8. After halftime CloudWyze continued to pull away outscoring CBPD 8-2 in the 3rd quareter and 6-0 in the 4th. The win keeps CloudWyze undefeated at 5-0 while CBPD dropped to 0-5. HIGHLIGHTS: CBPD: #5 Jayce Atansoff 4 and #10 Alexa Burghardt, #4 Chad Fleshman, and #12 Kendall Marcucilli each had 2-points. CloudWyze: #1 Trey Johnson 8, #10 Neil Sims and #5 Robbie Helmus each had 6-points, #13 Keegan Peat and #3 Bradley Spartley each had 4-points, and #11 Kenan Everhart and #12 Chris Schwenker each had 2-points.
• 2:00PM – NHRMC vs. CBDI – NHRMC started off this game with a 7-0 run through the 1st quarter. The 7-point lead stayed the same going into halftime as each team picked up 4-points in the 2nd quarer. After halftime NHRMC was able to pullaway after a 8-2 run in the 3rd quarer gave them a 19-6 lead. However in the 4th quarter CBDI’s started a comeback, but NHRMC cut it short and took the win 21-12. The win keeps NHRMC in a tie for 2nd Place with a 4-1 record, while CBDI dropped to 3-2. HIGHLIGHTS: CBDI: #13 Jacob Baugher, #1 Nic Lamendola, and #11 Brynn Little each had 4-points. NHRMC: #2 Taj Monroe 7, #5 Dominic Farmintino 5, #11 Mason Massey 4, and #12 Cathryn Paquet and #3 Sam McNamara 2-points each.
• 3:00PM – Mid-Atlantic Drilling vs. Kure Beach Pier – Aiden Payne lead Mid-Atlantic Driling’s offense attack in the 1st quarter with 9-points as they took a 14-8 lead. Both teams offenses’ slowed in the 2nd quarter with Mid-Atlantic outscoring kure Beach Pier again but by just a point 5-4 giving them a 19-12 lead. After halftime Mid-Atlantic Drilling continued to pull away outscoring Kure Beach Pier 5-3 in the 3rd quarter and a 12-2 run in the 4th to take the win 36-17. The win keeps Mid-Atlantic Drilling in 2nd place with a 4-1 record while Kure Beach Pier dropped to 1-4. HIGHLIGHTS: Mid-Atlantic Drilling: #1 Aiden Payne 14, #3 Logan Parker 7, #4 Mathew Silver 4, #11 Nate Milin, #5 Peter Gilman, and #10 Evan each had 3-points and #12 Brian Graybush 2. Kure Beach Pier: #10 Keaton Green 6, #12 Sam Martin 5, #14 Maddox Green 4, and #11 Cameron Bope 2.
• 4:00PM – Jet Mulch vs. Lazy Pirate – After a close 6-4 1st quarter Jet Mulch was able to increase to a 3-point lead by halftime after outscoring Lazy Pirate 6-5 in the 2nd quarter. After halftime Jet Mulch was able to pull away after going on a 9-2 run giving them a 21-11 lead with 1 quarter to play. The final quarter was a close one with Jet Mulch outscoring Lazy pirate 10-9 to take the win 31-20. Jet Mulch’s win was there 1st of the season giving them a 1-4 record while Lazy Pirate fell to 2-3. HIGHLIGHTS: Jet Mulch: TJ Parker and #12 Blake Olanovich 10-points each, #14 Cole Johnson 5, #10 Khalil Kelly 4, and #4 Caleb Neal 2. Lazy Pirate: #11 Jadon Morini 7, #12 Jacob Chalmers 5, #3 Owen Morini 4, and #13 Beck Lookingbill and #5 Josh Gaskell 2 each.
