Thursday, February 5, 2015
• 7:30PM – El Cazador vs. Michael’s Seafood – Michael’s was able to use a 8-2 run to start off this game and after the 2nd quarter Michael’s had a 12-point halftime lead 18-6.After halftime Michael’ continued to pull away outscoring El Cazador 12-1 in the 3rd and 10-6 in the 4th giving them the 40-13 win. Michael’s Seafood was able to remain undefeated at 6-0 while El Cazador dropped to 1-5. HIGHLIGHTS: El Cazador: #12 Ben Stout 6, #13 Sam Hobbs 3, and #1 Jacob Lamkin and #3 Cayne Davis each had 2-points, Michael’s Seafood: #11 Rocco Farmintino 19, #10 Ethan Graves and #1 Fisher Wagget 7-points each, #12 Daniel Stokes 5, and #2 Dylan McGowan 2.
• 8:30PM – American Legion vs. Nikki’s – This was a very close game with American Legion taking their biggest lead of the game after the 1st quarter 8-3. In the 2nd quarter Nikki’s Michael Stewart had 11-points leading his team to outscore American Legion 11-9 in the 2nd quarter bringing the score to 17-14. American Legion brought the lead back up to 5-points in the 3rd quarter 21-16 after outscoring American Legion 4-2.In the final quarter Nikki’s got a couple big baskets, but it was n0ot enough as American Legion held on to take the win 26-24. The win moves the American Legion up to 3-2 on their season while Nikki’s dropped to 0-5. HIGHLIGHTS: Nikkis: #4 Michael Stewart 18, #1 Coleman Lamendola 4, and #3 Mason Brooks 2. American Legion:  #14 Cosmo Staton 8, #11 Nicholas Marks 7, #1 Nicholas Burghardt 5, #2 John Jernigan 4, and #3 Morgan Moulten 2.

• 6:30PM – CBFD vs. Superior Medical – This was a close game with CBFD taking a early 1-point lead after the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter Superior used a 9-3 run to take the lead before halftime 18-13. CBFD was able to cut a point off Superior’s lead in the 3rd quarter after outscoring them 7-6. In the final quarter a late rally put CBFD just a shot away from the win, but Superior was able to hold on to take the win 32-30. The win improves the Superior Medical4-1 while the CBFD dropped to 1-4. HIGHLIGHTS: CBFD: #13 Tyler Tranchon 18, #2 Jas Herring 5, #11 Joseph Barker 3, and #1 Seanan Darakjy and #4 Andrew Harns each had 2. Superior Medical: #14 Peyton Blankenbecker 9, #5 Jantzen Hartsell 8, #2 Nicolas Ruscetti 5, #11 Carson Garner and #12 Thomas Blackenbecker 4-points each, and #13 Aaron Carter 2.

• 7:30PM – Allied Pest Control vs. Hamm Hearing Aids – This was a very close game with Allied taking a 9-7 lead after the 1st quarter. The 2-point lead remained for Allied going into halftime as both teams picked up 5-points. After halftime Hamm was able to cut the lead to a point 22-21 after outscoring Allied 9-8. In the final quarter both teams played a lot of tough defense but in the end it was Allied that was able to hold off Hamm to take the win 27-26. The win improves Allied Pest Control to 1-5 on their season while Hamm dropped to 3-3. HIGHLIGHTS: Hamm Hearing Aid: #11 Larry Davis 10, #4 Scott Best 5, #1 DeAngelo Weakley 3, and #10 Shawn Waekley, #3 Nash Best, #12 Ryan Brinson, and #14 Hawthorne Hamm 2-points each. Allied Pest Control: #1 Dakota Spurley 12, #10 Sean Anderson 7, #12 Ryan Bailey 6, and #2 Lucas Galonka and #14 Nicholas Galonka 1-point each.
• 8:30PM – Blackburn Brothers vs. CBPD – Blackburn jumped out to a huge lead after a 22-6 1st quarter. CBPD was able to hold even with Blackburn in the 2nd quarter and outscores them by a point 57-33. After halftime Blackbur ncountinued to pull away outscoring CBPD 10-3 in the 3rd quarter and 14-13 in the 4th to take the win 57-33. The win keeps Blackburn undefeated at 6-0 while CBPD dropped to 2-4. HIGHLIGHTS: Blackburn Brothers: #14 Julian Blackburn 19, #12 Brett Harms 11, #5 Kyle Dowling 7, #3 Justin Blackburn 6, #10 Logan Loftin and #2 Jake Trafton 5-points each, and #13 Dane Schretter 4-points. CBPD: #1 Braelyn Little 9-points, #12 Brice Eller, #2 Michael Gotto, #5 Drake Overton and #14 Dillon Smith 5-points each and #11 Ra’Shawn Anglin 4-points.

• 9:00AM – CB Realty vs. PI Exercise Club – CB Realty used to 4-0 runs in the 1st and 2nd quarter to take a 8-0 halftime lead. After halftime PI Exercise Club’s offense posted 7-points in the 3rd quarter to get back in the game, while CB Realty posted 5 bringing the score to 13-7. In the final quarter CB Realty was able to hold off a late rally by PI Exercise Club to take the win 117-10. The win puts CB Realty in a tie for 1st Place with Hines Senior Center while PI Exercise Club drops to 2-4. HIGHLIGHTS: PI Exercise Club: #11 Layith Monroe 4 and #3 Avery Saffo and #10 Brooks Powell each had 3-points. CB Realty: #2 Cane Mehling 7, #11 Wyatt Ellis and #5 Tanner Berry each had 4-points and #12 Parker Kitts 2-points.
• 10:00AM –Hines Senior Center vs. Island Tackle – Hines Senior Center and Island Tackle had a close game with Hines taking a 1-point lead 2-1 after the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter Hines Center Center’s Connor McPherson had 3 field goals for 6-points helping his team pull ahead by 4-points by halftime 8-4. After halftime Island Tackle was able to get right back in the game outscoring Hines Senior Center 4-0 to tie up the game at 8-8. In the final quarter Island Tackle’s Rayne Schoonmaker’s 3 free throws and a field goal from Jack Messer was all they needed for the 13-11 win over undefeated Hines Senior Center. Island Tackle improved to 3-3 on their season while Hines Senior Center dropped to 3-3. HIGHLIGHTS: Hines Senior Center: #11 Connor McPherson 7, #5 Shay Payne 3, and #12 Talan Groseclose 1. Island Tackle: #2 Rayne Schoonmaker 7, #14 Alex Testori 4, and #11 Jack Messer 2.
• 11:00AM – Island Montessori vs. Froyoz CB – This was a close back and forth game with Froyoz taking the lead after the 1st quarter 4-2. In the 2nd quarter Island Montessori was able to get to within a point of the lead 8-7 by halftime after a 4-3 2nd quarter. After halftime Island Montessori School was able to take a 3-point lead 11-8 after outscoring Froyoz 5-1 in the 3rd quarter. In the final quarter the 2 teams scored almost as many points in 1 quarter as they did the whole game. Island Montessori lead the way with 8-points to take the win 18-16. The win was Island Montessori’s 1st of the season, while Foyoz dropped to 1-5. HIGHLIGHTS: Foyoz: #10 Grant Rusceti 8, #14 Jonathan Baggie 4, #12 Nate Jarrell 3, and #1 Coryn Atwood 1. Island Montessori School: #10 Vincent Agrillo 9, #12 Marea Bradley 4, #14 Kaden Winebar 3, and #3 Danny Rusher 2.
    9-11 Age Division
• 1:00PM – Kure Beach Pier vs. Jet Mulch -  Kure Beach Pier took the early lead after the 1st quarter 4-0. In the 2nd quarter Jet Mulch was able to pick up 4-points, while holding Jet Mulch to 3-points cutting their lead doen to 3-points by halftime 7-4. After halftime Kure Beach Pier was able to stretch their lead to 9-points 15-6 after outscoring Jet Mulch 8-2. In the final quarter Jet Mulch’s offense got them right back into the game picking up 12-points, but Kure Beach Pier’s Maddox Green hit 2 big 3-pointers to give his team the win 21-18. The win improves Kure Beach Pier to 2-4 while Jet Mulch fell to 1-5. HIGHLIGHTS: Kure Beach Pier: #14 Maddox Green 10, #12 Sam Martin 9, and #5 Cole Hamilton 2. Jet Mulch: #3 TJ Parker 9, #14 Cole Johnson 7, and #4 Caleb Neal 2.
• 2:00PM – CBDI vs. CloudWyze – CloudWyze went on a 10-4 run to start the 1st quarter. However in the 2nd quarter CBDI held their offense to 2-points and got to within 4-points by halftime 12-8. After halftime CloudWyze used a 8-2 run to increase their lead to 10-points 20-10. In the final quarter CloudWyze’s Kenan Everhart scored 6 of the 13 points helping them take the win 31-17. CloudWyze is still undefeated at 6-0 while CBDI fell to 3-3. HIGHLIGHTS: #11 Kenan Everhart 10, #3 Bradley Spartley and #1 Trey Johnson each had 8-points and #10 Neil Sims had 5. CBDI: #10 Leo Baggie 5, #13 Jacob Baugher and #12 Collin Kitts each had 4-points and #3 JL Yopp and #4 Pierce Carter each had 2-points.  
• 3:00PM – Lazy Pirate vs. NHRMC – NHRMC took a 9-point lead after the 1st quarer 12-3 and didn’t look back. By halftime NHRMC extended their lead to 15-points 21-6 after a 9-3 2nd quarter. After halftime NHRMC continued to pull away outscoring Lazy Pirate 14-0 in the 3rd quarter giving them a 29-point lead with 1 quarter left. In the final quarter Lazy Pirate was able to cut into NHRMC’s lead a little but it was not enough as NHRMC went on to win by final score of 40-15. The win keeps NHRMC in 2nd place at 5-1 while Lazy Pirate dropped to 2-4. HIGHLIGHTS: #2 Taj Monroe 12, #11 Mason Massey 10, #5 Dominic Farmintino 9, #10 Jackson Kupec 7, and #4 Micah Coniglio 2. Lazy Pirate: #12 Jacob Chalmers 6, #11 Jadon Morini 4, #14 Ashton Little 3, and #13 Beck Lookingbill 2.
• 4:00PM – CBPD vs. Mid-Atlantic Drilling – CBPD took the early 7-2 lead after the 1st quarter of this game. However in the 2nd quarter Mid-Atlantic Drilling was able to tie up the game at 9-9 after going on a 7-2 run. After halftime Mid-Atlantic used a 13-2 run to take a 11-point lead going into the final quarter. In the 4th quarter Mid-Atlantic continued to pull away after outscoring CBPD 11-6 giving them the win 33-17. The win keeps Mid-Atlantic Drilling in 2nd Place at 5-1 while CBPD falls to 0-6. HIGHLIGHTS: CBPD: #14 David Corwin 5, #10 Alexa Burghardt and #4 Chad Fleshman had 4-points each, and #3 Fisher Carter and #12 Kendall Marcucilli each had 2-points. Mid-Atlantic Drilling: #1 Aiden Payne 15, #3 Logan Parker 8, #4 Matthew Silver 5, #11 Nate Milen 4, and #5 Peter Gilman 1.
