12-14 Age Division
Thursday, February 26, 2015
• 6:30PM – Superior Medical vs. American Legion – The 1st quarter of this game was close with American Legion taking a 1-point lead 12-11. However in the 2nd quarter the American Legion was able to pull ahead by 5-points at halftime 24-19. After halftime Superior was able to retake the lead after going on a 12-5 run in the 3rd quarter. In the final quarter Superio got a couple big baskets to hold off a late rally by American Legion giving them the win 46-38. The win improves Superior Medical to 6-2 while American Legion fell to 4-4. HIGHLIGHTS: Superior Medical: #14 Peyton Blankenbeckler 11, #10 Nick Reeves 9, #5 Jantzen Hartsell 8, #12 Thomas Blankenbeckler 7, #13 Aaron Carter 5, #11 Carson Garner 4, and #2 Nicolas Ruscetti 2. American Legion: #2 Jophn Jernigan 13, #14 Cosmo Staton 8, #13 Jett Tugwell 7, #11 Nicholas Marks and #3 Morgan Moulten 4-points each, and #10 Harry Smith Martin 2-points.
• 7:30PM – Nikki’s vs. El Cazador – This was a close game with both teams tied up at 4-4 after 1 quarter. In the 2nd quarter El Cazador was able to take a 2-point lead into halftime 13-11 after outscoring Nikki’s 9-7 in the 2nd quarter.  After halftime El Cazador was able to hold on to their 2-point lead after both teams picked up picked up 6-points. In the final quarter Nikki’s defense was able to hold El Cazador to just some free throws, while their offense picked up 12-points giving them the win 31-27. The win improves Nikkis to 1-8 on their season while El Cazador fell to 1-8. HIGHLIGHTS: El Cazador: #11 Austin Johnson 10, #10 Winston Davis 5, #3 Cayne Davis 4, #2 Cameron Jordan 3, #12 Ben Stout and #1 Jacob Lamkin 2-points each and #5 Brayden West 1. Nikki’s Sushi: #4 Michael Stewart 9, #2 Kyler Schoonmaker and #13 Brody McSwain 6-points each, #1 Coleman Lamendola and #11 Maguire Craddock each had 5.

• 6:30PM – CBFD vs. Michael’s Seafood – Michael’s offense scored 23-points in the 1st quarter to take a 18-point lead. Michael’s countiued to run up the score from there outscoring CBFD in the remaining 3 quarters of play 20-8, 17-9, and 17-7 to take the win 77-29. Michael’s Seafood finished their Regular Season with a perfect 9-0 record while CBFD fell to 3-5. HIGHLIGHTS: Michael’s Seafood: #11 Rocco Farmintino had 9 3-pointers and 37 total points, #1 Fisher Waggett 12, #10 Ethan Graves 9, #12 Daniel Stokes 8, #13 Peyton Foster 4, #14 Dimitrius Weakley 3, and #2 Dylan McGowan and #3 Dwight Best each had 2-points. CBFD: #2 Jas Herring 12, #13 Tyler Tranchon 8, #4 Andrew Harris 4, #3 Nathan Hardison 3, and #14 Mason Johnson 2.
15-17 Age Division
• 7:30PM – CBPD vs. Blackburn Brothers – Blackburn Brothers jumped out to a 11-4 lead after the 1st quarter of this game and didn’t look back. By halftiem they extended their lead to 33-12 after outscoring CBPD 22-8 in the 2nd quarter. After halftime they continued to pull away out scoring CBPD 20-16 in the 2nd half giving them the win by a final score of 53-28.  The win giving’s Blackburn Brothers the perfect regular season record at 9-0, while CBPD fell to 3-6. HIGHLIGHTS: Blackburn Brothers: #3 Justin Blackburn 10, #2 Jake Trafton and #5 Kyle Dowling 8-points each, #14 Julian Blackburn 7, #10 Logan Logtin and #13 Dane Schretter 6-points each, #4 Grady Yopp 4, and #12 Brett Harms and #11 Matthew Rood 2-points each. CBPD: #12 Brice Eller 7, #1 Braelym Little and #14 Dillon Smith each had 6-points, #2 Michael Gotto 3, and #13 Jacob Miles and #4 Brandon Buer each had 2-points.
• 8:30PM – Allied pest Control vs. Hamm Hearing Aid – After a tight defensive 1st quarter Hamm Hearing took a 7-2 1st quarter lead and turned into a 22-5 halftime lead after a 15-3 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter Allied was able to cut the lead to 13-points after outscoring Hamm 8-4. In the final quarter Hamm was able to hold off any late surge by Allied to take the win 37-21. The win gave Hamm Hearing 2nd Place in the regular season with a 5-5 record while Allied Pest Control Fell to 1-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Allied Pest Control: #11 Josh Johnson 10, #13 Ja’Quel Sidberry 8, and #3 Joshua Stewart 3. Hamm Hearing Aids: #4 Scott Best 10, #11 Larry Davis 6, #2 Michael Phillips 5, #10 Shawn Waekley and #5 Vinny Famintino 4-points each, #3 Nash Best and #14 Hawthorne Hamm 3-points each and #1 DeAngelo Weakley 2-points each.

• 9:00AM – Froyoz vs. Hines Senior Center – Hines defense held Froyoz scoreless throughout the 1st half of this game, while their offense picked up 7 in the 1st quarter and 6 in the 2nd to take a 13-0 halftime lead. After halftime Hines continued to pull away outscoring Fryoz 6-2 in the 3rd quarter and 5-3 in the 4th giving them the win by a final score of 24-5. The win gave Hines Senior Center 1st Place in the Regular Season while Froyoz fell to 1-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Froyoz: #10 Grant Rusceti 3 and #12 Nate Jarrell and #14 Jonathan Baggie 1-point each. Hines Senior Center: #4 Thad Henry 10, #5 Shay Payne 7, #12 Talan Groseclose 4, and #11 Connor McPherson 3-points.
• 10:00AM – CB Realty vs. Island Montessori School – Defense played a big role in this game also as CB Realty held Island Montessori School to just 2-points in the 1st quarter, meanwhile their offense picked up 3 in the 1st quarter and 13 in the 2nd giving them a huge halftime lead 16-2. CB Realty continued to pull away after halftime outscoring Island Montessori School 2-1 in the 3rd quarter and 8-4 in the 4th to take the win 26-7. CB Realty finished out their regular Season in 2nd Place with a 8-1 record while Island Montessori School dropped to 1-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Island Montessori School: #10 Vincent Agrillo 5 and #2 Vaughn Batchelor 2. CB Realty: #11 Wyatt Ellis 12, #2 Cane Mehling 8, #13 Taylor Robinson 3, #5 Tanner Berry 2, and #14 DJ Cato 1.
• 11:00AM – PI Exercise Club vs. Island Tackle – After a 4-4 1st quarter Island Tackle was able to outscore PI Exercise Club 5-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 9-6 halftime lead. The 3-point lead stayed the same after another 4-4 quarter. In the final quarter Island Tackle was able to pull away and take the win by a final score of 22-15. The win improves Island Tackle to 6-3 while PI Exercise Club fell to 3-6. HIGHLIGHTS: Island Tackle: #2 Rayne Schoonmaker 19 and #11 Jack Messer 2. PI Exercise Club: #11 Layth Monroe 7 and #5 Roman Smith, #13 Landen McHorne, #1 Chase Dean and #4 Nate Goins each had 2-points.
9-11 Age Division
• 1:00PM – CloudWyze vs. Jet Mulch – Cloudwyze was able to start off this game with a 4-0 run in the 1st quarter followed by a 11-4 2nd quarter giving them a 17-4 halftime lead. After halftime CloudWyze used a 8-0 run to take their largest lead of the game 24-4. Howwever in the final quarter Jet Mulch was able to go on a 7-0 run, but it wasn’t enough as CloudWyze went on to win by a final score of 25-11. The win gave Cloud WYze a perfect record of 9-0, while Jet Mulch fell to 1-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Jet Mulch: #12 Blake Olanovich 5 and #3 TJ Parker, #14 Cole Johnson and #13 Colin Neal 2-points each. CloudWyze: #1 Trey Johnson 8, #14 Jared Becken 6, #10 Neil Sims 3, and #11 Kenan Everhart, #13 Keagan Peat, #12 Chris Schwenker, and #4 Callie Reitzel each had 2-points.
• 2:00PM – Kure Beach Pier vs. Lazy Pirate – Lazy Pirates’ offense helped them breakout to a 11-5 lead after the 1st quarter before extending that lead to 13-points by halftime 26-13. After halftimeKure Beach Pier was able to get back into the game, after outscoring Lazy Pirate 14-5 they found themselves down by just 4-points 31-27. However in the final quarter Lazy Pirate used a 10-3 run to pull away for good in this game by a final score of 41-30. The win improves Lazy Pirate to 4-5 on the Season and Kure Beach Pier fell to 2-7. HIGHLIGHTS: Kure Beach Pier: #11 Cameron Bope 14, #12 Sam Martin 7, #14 Maddox Green 5, and #5 Cole Hamilton 4. Lazy Pirate: #12 Jacob Chalmers 13, #11 Jadon Morini and #10 Jack Garcia 11-points each, #13 Beck Lookingbill 4 and #5 Lacey Hartsell 2-points.
• 3:00PM – Mid-Atlantic Drilling vs. NHRMC – This game start off close with NHRMC taking a 2-point lead after the 1st quarter. However after that NHRMC stepped up their defense, allowing just 3-points in the 2nd quarter. In the meantime their offense posted 10-points to take extend their lead going into halftime 18-9. After halftime NHRMC just increase their lead outscoring Mid-Atlantic 12-3 in the 3rd quarter and 12-1 in the 4th giving them the win by a final score of 42-13. The win improved NHRMC to 8-1 on the season while Mid-Atlantic Drilling fell to 6-3. HIGHLIGHTS: NHRMC: #11 Mason Massey 14, #5 Dominic Farmintino 8, #2 Taj Monroe and #3 Sam McNamara 6-points each, #10 Jackson Kupec 4, and #14 Bailey Wilcox and #13 Nate Greeg each had 2-points. Mid-Atlantic Drilling: #1 Aiden Payne 5, #4 matthew Silver 4, #11 Nate Milin and #3 Logan Parker each had 2-points.
• 4:00PM – CBPD vs. CBDI – CBDI started off this game with a 6-0 run throughtout the 1st quarter. CBDI was able to add another point to their lead in the 2nd quarter after outscoring CBPD 5-4 gave them a 11-4 lead. After halftime CBPD was able to cut the lead to 5-points 13-8 after outscoring CBDI 4-2 in the 3rd quarter. However in the 4th quarter CBDI’s defense blanked the CBPD helping them take the win 17-8. The win improved CBDI’s record to 5-4 while the CBPD fell to 0-9. HIGHLIGHTS: CBPD: #14 David Corwin 4 and #5 Jayce Atanasoff and #4 Chad Fleshman 2-points each.CBDI: #10 Leo Baggie 6, #13 Jacob Baugher 4, #1 Nic Lemendola 3, and #5 Silas Jackson and #11 Brynn Little 2-points each.
• 5:00PM – Niki’s offense exploded in the 1st quarter of this game picking up 15-points, while their defense held American Legion to just 3-points. Nikki’s countiued to add to their lead in the 2nd quarter going on a 12-2 run giving them a 27-5 halftime lead. However after halftime American Legion was able to start to come back picking up 18-points in the 3rd quarter, putting them within 16-points 39-23. American Legion continued to chip away at the lead in the 4th quarter, but ran out of time giving Nikki’s the win 49-37. The win is Nikki’s 2nd straight and improved their record to 2-7, while American Legion fell to 4-5 on their Regular Season. HIGHLIGHTS: American Legion: #10 Harry Smith-Martin 14, #14 Cosmo Staton 8, #2 Josh Jernigan 7, #3 Morgan Moulten 4, #1 Nicholas Burghardt 3, #13 Jett Tugwell 1. • 6:00PM – CBFD vs. Superior Medical – Superior Medical got off to a good start in this game after scoring 10-points, meanwhile their defense held CBFD to just 5-points. However in the 2nd quarter CBFD was able to get to within 2-points 13-11 by halftime after outscoring CBFD 6-3. After halftime Superior Medical’s offense could not be stopped scoring 19-points, helping them bring their lead to double digits 32-19. In the final quarter Superior’s offense didin’t slow down picking up 15-points in 3-pointers alone helping them win by a final score of 49-29. The win improved Superior Medical to 2nd Place with a 7-2 record while CBFD dropped to 3-6. HIGHLIGHTS: Superior Medical: #14 Peyton Blankenbeckler 15, #12 Thomas Blankenbeckler 13, #10 Nick Reeves 11, #2 Nicolas Ruscetti 6, and #4 Nicholas Schwenker and #5 Jantzen Hartsell 2-points each.
