Intermittent Lane Closures on Snow’s Cut Bridge in New Hanover County Monday Through Wednesday Featured

By / Local News / Friday, 31 October 2014 04:00

Starting Monday, Nov. 3, intermittent lane closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the Snow’s Cut Bridge on U.S. 421 over the Intracoastal Waterway in New Hanover County. Intermittent lane closures will take place again on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 5, during the same timeframe, weather permitting.

These intermittent closures are necessary for N.C. Department of Transportation crews to perform concrete repairs to this bridge located between Wilmington and Carolina Beach. The bridge will remain open to traffic.

Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area and to expect delays. NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.

For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit the NCDOT traffic website or follow NCDOT on Twitter. Another option is NCDOT Mobile, a phone-friendly version of the NCDOT website. To access it, type “m.ncdot.gov” into the browser of your smartphone. Then, bookmark it to save for future reference.
