CAROLINA BEACH - Carolina Beach Police arrested a man Friday July 6th shortly after 7pm on North Lake Park Blvd after a disturbance at the Deck House Restaurant at 205 Charlotte Avenue.

According to Detective Scott Hettinger, officers responded to the Deck House in reference to a disturbance.

He explained, "Preliminary reports indicated a subject displayed a firearm during the disturbance. The subject left the area prior to police arrival. Police located and arrested the suspect and seized the firearm in the 700 Block of N. Lake Park Blvd. There are no further known threats and no reports of injuries at this time."
Officers arrested 31 year old Luke Aaron Tiller of Raleigh NC and charged him with two counts of "Assault by Pointing a Gun".

Hettinger explained the case is still under investigation but the initial report is that one of the victims asked Tiller if his daughter could stop banging the silverware.

Hettinger explained, "Tiller took offense and made threats to the victim and the victims guests at their table. The victim exited the table he was seated at and at that point Tiller pulled the firearm.  While walking out of the restaurant Tiller pointed the firearm at another victim sitting at the same table."

Then Tiller left the scene with his daughter heading North on Lake Park Blvd.
