CAROLINA BEACH - Carolina Beach Police arrested a man on February 28th, for "Robbery with A Dangerous Weapon."

According to Det.Scott Hettinger, police were dispatched to 900 North Lake Park Blvd after receiving a report of someone robbing a person.

Hettinger explained, "New Hanover County 911 center received a call from a victim claiming he was robbed in the parking lot at knife point. The victim reported the suspect stole a small amount of U.S. Currency. The initial investigation identified a potential suspect.  Further investigation revealed the offender to be Eric William Davis, a 39-year-old male" living on Winner Ave.,  in Carolina Beach.

Hettinger explained, "On February 28, 2019 at 122 Harper Ave., Carolina Beach, Eric William Davis was located by Carolina Beach Officers and taken into custody without incident. Davis was processed at the Carolina Beach Police Department and appeared before a New Hanover County Magistrate on the Charge of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.  Davis was transported and confined in the New Hanover County Jail under a secured bond."

Davis was charged with one count of "Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon". A New Hanover County Magistrate placed Davis on a $10,000 secured, awaiting his first court appearance. The incident is still under investigation.
