“Don't try to win over the haters; you are not a jackass whisperer.”  â€¨~Brene’ Brown

Years ago when I lived in Ohio I was known as the House Whisperer.  During my certification at the Feng Shui Institute of America I was trained to read the language of a space.  Although reading a space may seem like magic, it is really science combined with common sense.
ALL spaces are speaking a language and some may be saying things that are not so nice.
Do you remember your parents telling you that the people you hang out with will determine who you become, so choose your friends wisely?   We as humans gravitate to the friends with whom we feel the most comfortable or compatible with their vibrational frequency.
It is the same with your home.  If your home is run down and uncared for you probably feel the same yourself.  Your home is an extension of your body.  It explains what is going on inside your being.  When you are in a situation that makes you feel stuck, your room may have clutter or furniture placement that is hard to maneuver around. If you are feeling sad and lonely, your room will also take on the personality of disconnection and isolation.  If you are having health issues, your home or office should be one of the first places to examine for noxious chemicals like volatile organic compounds (VOC’s found in paints, carpet padding and other household plastics,) molds, emf’s and other pollutants.  Your home is you and you are your home.
Making changes in your life is the main reason you may desire a feng shui consultation.  What do you want to change in your life?  Your home is the tool we use to instigate those changes.
Decorating with feng shui always has a specific reasoning to it.  What do you want to change in your life?  We begin by changing the outside and the inside will follow.  Colors, fabrics and textures all produce certain feelings as well as do scents and sounds.   When we use feng shui we address all of the senses.
Not all people ‘get’ feng shui and I understand that.  Many times it is semantics that separates us.  Look around you right now and tell me how you feel based on what you see.  There, you have just practiced feng shui.  Every space tells a story.
Make sure yours is a story that makes you feel happy and healthy.  xo mo
