Wilmington Hammerheads FC announced the addition of midfielder Zev Taublieb to their roster for the remainder of the season. The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Hammerheads following a stint with Sacramento Republic FC earlier in the regular season, scoring two goals and notching one assist in his 12 appearances. “I am incredibly excited and honored to have signed for Wilmington Hammerheads FC,” said Taublieb. “The Hammerheads have an incredible history in both the soccer world and the community. They are a special team because they understand the importance of a community. The Hammerheads are always looking to give back and, like the Hammerheads, I want to use my ability as a soccer player to make a difference. I look forward to playing an influential role both on and off the field.” Taublieb is expected to make his debut with the Hammerheads during Saturday’s home match versus FC Montreal.
“Zev is a soccer junkie that has shown a work rate and determination that this can use moving forward,” said Wilmington Hammerheads FC Head Coach Carson Porter.
A native of New York City, New York, Taublieb made his professional debut following his collegiate career at Valparaiso University in Indiana. He moved to the west coast at a young age and became a member of Fulham FC Youth Academy and Los Angeles Football Club.
