CAROLINA BEACH - Carolina Beach Police arrested the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a parked car on Lake Park Blvd just after midnight on May 23, in front of Pop's Diner on Lake Park Blvd.
Caseie Marie Bullard, age 31, of Wilmington, NC, was arrested for Driving While Impaired and Reckless Driving.
Early morning May 23rd, an officer responded to a traffic crash in the 6 block of N. Lake Park Blvd between Raleigh and Harper Avenues.
According to police Bullard was driving south on Lake Park Blvd at approximately 50mph in a 25mph zone. Her vehicle crossed over the double yellow line into on coming traffic and collided with a parked Isuzu Rodeo that was not occupied. Her vehicle moved the Rodeo approximately five feet before it collided into another parked vehicle, a white Ford Ranger. That vehicle was occupied by two people and was overturned onto its passenger side causing damage to yet another parked vehicle, a white Dodge Charger that was occupied by one person.
According to the police report, "While accessing the damages, (2) hyper-dermic needles were recovered under vehicle 1 (Caseie Bullard) along with a spoon with white residue. In plain view on the floor board of vehicle 1 were two wax paper envelopes consistent with packaging heroin which were recovered and seized."
An officer conducted a field sobriety test on Bullard which resulted in her arrest for Driving While Impaired and Reckless Driving.
No one was seriously injured in the accident.
Ashley Jo Farmer and her family were in Town visiting with family members for the holiday weekend. She explained they were headed home  after walking on the beach and thought it was a traffic stop until they got closure. She took photos of the scene.
