CAROLINA BEACH - Parking enforcement in Carolina Beach will wrap up for the 2019 season on October 31st. The Town's parking program operates from April 1st to October 31st. During the off-season parking is free.

The Town has 13 pay parking lots that use single pay-stations to issues parking receipts that are placed on the dashboard. The Town contracts with Lanier Parking to manage enforcement and collections from meters, pay stations and parking citations as well as managing the entrance to Freeman Park for four-wheel drive access to the beach beyond the end of Canal Drive.

Annual resident parking passes cost $20 and allows free parking at lots and metered spaces. Non-resident annual parking decals cost $150.

Parking tickets are $30 and if not paid after 15 days, the penalty increases to $60.

Golf cart permits are $20, and for non-resident cart permits, the fee is $100 per year.

Kure Beach residents who drive street legal golf carts registered with the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles do not have to purchase a golf cart permit from the Town of Carolina Beach to drive into their jurisdictional limits. They will have to buy a parking permit or pay the meter.

At the parking meters you may pay using $10, $5, $1, nickels, dimes and quarters.  Visa and Master Card may be used as well. Take note that pay-stations do not give change. Parking fees restart at 8:00 AM in all of the Town's parking lots and parking meters.  Parking for more than 24 hours at a time is  not permitted. All parking spaces designated "Handicap" are free with the display of a handicap parking placard.

Parking meters are used at some short-term parking lots and parking spaces along various streets throughout Town.

If you have three or more outstanding tickets, your vehicle may get the boot, also known as a vehicle immobilization device that will only be removed when the tickets are paid within 24 hours. After that, the vehicle may be towed away at the owners expense until the fines are paid.

Vehicles that have a parking permit are allowed to park without paying, however, the parker must abide by the time restrictions and other regulation for the parking lot or space. Parking permits can be purchased at the Town Hall Billing Window or online at the Town's website www.carolinabeach.org

The Town of Carolina Beach Parking phone number is (910) 458-4614 and fax number is (910) 458-4705.
