Fall Education Program
Have you ever asked…Who is Jesus? What does redemption mean? Is the Bible or Christianity relevant today?
If you have questions about Christianity or the Bible that you have always wanted to know the answer to, you may be interested in the Fall Education Program at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church located at 300 Harper Avenue in Carolina Beach. The Fall Education Program is called “All About the Bible” and has three different courses.
The first class is called “Financial Biblical Principles” and runs from September 5th through November 13th on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm. Kathy Legan who is a Christian Financial Advisor for Edward Jones will teach the course. The 11 week course has a limit of 20 so make sure and call the office at 910 458-5310 to sign up.
The second class being offered this fall is called “Short Term Disciple Bible Study: Invitation to the NT.”
This class will begin on September 5th and will be held every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm for 11 weeks until November 14th. This study uses Matthew as a starting point and addresses questions such as, who is Jesus? And Why is He so significant to our lives today? Why are redemption, transformation, faith, and the resurrection so important?
The third class being held is called “The Alpha Course” and will begin on September 8th. This Thursday evening course will run for 10 weeks with the last meeting to be held on November 8th. This class explores the validity and relevance of the Christian faith. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity centered around a meal, a talk, and a small group discussion where you can ask the questions you have always wanted to know the answer to without feeling comfortable to ask. The Community Church
4th & Cape Fear Boulevard • Carolina Beach, NC
Do you pray enough? What is enough, you ask. I have a minimun of 5 times a day; when you wake up, breakfast, lunch, supper, and at bedtime; and that's the Minimun. I pray at these times and much more every day; but is it still enough? The Apostle Paul wrote in
1 Thessalonians 5:17 to Pray without ceasing. Now, do you pray enough? Probally not,
but neither does anyone else, I know of. We at The Community Church are known as a church that prays, and things happen. We have seen God move in so many ways, it's been said we should write a book! Prayer requests have been made and answered the same day on numerous occasions! Needs have been met before the request was even voiced! Doctors have come back saying "I don't know what happened, but whatever was on the x-ray isn't there now! Isn't God good! all the time! I have a saying, "We are The Community Church, and you are the community. As that community, we want to improve it, help it, and bless it.
We invite anyone who would like to pray more to come pray with us on September 18th, at
7:00 P.M.. This is a Tuesday night at the church. We hold these prayer meetings every other month on the third Tuesday. All we do is PRAY, no singing, preaching, or offering. We take requests and pray. Feel free to come and let your request be known, and pray.
