3rd Annual ???Battle for the North End Cup??? Volleyball Tournament

The Third Annual “Battle for the North End Cup” Volleyball Tournament presented by the Carolina Beach Lifeguard Association will be held on Saturday, May 19th at the Carolina Beach North End Fishing Pier. This day will be packed full of awesome activities including the volleyball tournament, Pier Golf, a Sand Castle/Sculpting Contest, and a Raffle Drawing at the High Tide Lounge.  The volleyball tournament is open to all 4-man teams wishing to compete.  The cost is $50 per team to enter the competition.  Battle for the North End Cup and bragging rights for the year, come out and show off your skills.Pier Golf will consist of driving a biodegradable golf ball from a t-box on top of the pier towards a target in the ocean.  Prizes will be awarded for closest or direct hits to the target.  The fee will be $10 for 2 balls.  You may swing as many times as you want! There will be two skill levels for the Sand Castle/Sculpting Contest.  Teams will consist of two-person amateur teams.  There will be a Junior Level for 12 & Under and an Adult Level for ages 13 & Up.   Throughout the day, you will be able to purchase raffle tickets at the Hide Tide Lounge located on the third level of the North End Pier.  The drawing will take place at 7:00 pm in Hide Tide Lounge.  There are great prizes to win! The purpose of the fundraiser is to draw attention to the Carolina Beach Lifeguard Association and to fulfill the needs of lifeguards on Pleasure Island.  This year lifeguards are in need of a new truck, competition boards, and new rescue response boards.  They will also be participating in the competitions held in Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach.
