What a great Festival! On Saturday, the 28th of June from 9:00 A.M, to 3:00 P.M. the Senior Center was filled with shoppers looking for that special item for, ”one mans trash is another mans treasure”, starting with the Garden shop, then the Bake shop, the Jewelry Boutique, next the Christmas table, the Book store, then on outside to the Childrens corner, then the Garment and Haberdashery and Linen. What a beautiful day for shopping for all who came. Oh, and they did not forget the Bake shop to pick up something sweet made by our Seniors then over to the CAFE for a Ham biscuit or Hot Dogs, with all the trimmings and a cold drink.
We had entertainment from Mark Smith who played the Bag Pipe, Len Simpson who sang, Zoo who played the piano, and Joe Brown who kept the tapes going with back ground music. Some shoppers checked out Marge the Fortune teller. Others had thier face painted by Loretta. The crafters were busy showing and selling their wares. The other nine tables were for shopping for that special item.
There is no way the Board of Directors can thank all who came to shop, and to those who donated to make this Summer Festival a great success. We want to especially thank the businesses who donated door prizes. Without the help from all, we could not have made  our 1st ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL, the success it was.
