Joshua Patrick Ywaskevic is a vibrant 6th grader at Myrtle Grove Christian School who spreads his energy and enthusiasm for life to everyone he meets.  Joshua is an outstanding student and athlete as well as friend.  He meets life head on and has a blast at everything he does. Joshua has attended Myrtle Grove Christian School since pre-school and has always maintained his status on the A/B Honor Roll.  When it comes to school he finds that Math and Spelling come naturally to him and are therefore his favorite subjects.
When Joshua is not at school he may be found jumping on his trampoline, swimming, wrestling, playing with his play station III or Nintendo DS, listening to music on his IPOD, traveling the world with his family, watching the Yankees, playing with his two Labs, telling ghost stories, or playing with his friends.
Joshua and his best friends, Bantelis Militis, Harrison James, and Wesley Parker started their own secret club called the “4 Best Friends Club.”  The only details Joshua would divulge are that there are no girls and definitely no mean people allowed!
Joshua and his friends love to watch WWE Wrestling and may often be found practicing the moves.  His favorite is the Undertaker and Joshua aspires to be a Professional Wrestler.
Joshua also dreams of playing professional baseball.  He greatly admires Derrick Jeeter of the Yankees.  The Yankees are his favorite team and Jeeters is his favorite player.  In the past, Joshua has had the opportunity to visit Yankee Stadium with his family.  He and several others took a bus trip to see different Baseball Parks.  Joshua was the only Yankees fan he knew for many years and often faced a strong rivalry from Boston Red Sox fans.  He hopes to be able to attend a game this year.
He began his own baseball career at the age of 4.  Joshua has played on teams for Pleasure Island, Winter Park, and Optimist.  He is currently playing on a Myrtle Grove Optimist Baseball team called the Cape Fear Generators.  He loves to play both first base and third base for the team.
In addition to playing baseball, Joshua also plays basketball.  He has been a member of the Upward Christian Basketball League at Pine Valley Baptist Church for the past 4 years.
One of the highlights of Joshua’s days is to play with his two Labs, Ginger and Jeeters Angel of Carolina.  Ginger is seven years old and the mother of Jeeters Angel of Carolina who is three years old.  The dogs love the time Joshua spends with them and Jeeters Angel of Carolina enjoys jumping for her toys!  (Man can she jump!)
Often during the summer, Joshua and his family have the opportunity to travel.  This twelve-year-old young man has been all over South America, Mexico, all through the Caribbean, and the United States.  When he was just six years old, his father found him in front of their hotel hailing a cab to take him to Toys ‘R US.  Joshua has found that his favorite place to travel is Saint Marten and says that the girls are very pretty there!
Joshua has an energy and a love for life that exudes from ear to ear when he smiles.  He is sure to succeed in the future and we look forward to watching him grow and keeping track of his successes.
