Strong Winds; Rough Waves Erode Portions Of Carolina Beach

| (Pictured Above:) Strong winds and waves caused erosion along Carolina Beach and Kure Beach earlier this week leaving sand cliffs in several areas as well as washing away portions of protective sand dunes. Beach nourishment was completed earlier this year. Officials from Carolina Beach and Kure Beach are measuring the amount of sand lost during the storm.
