We also offer a Life Fitness 9500 heart rate model: ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes, Stairmasters, Stairmills, and rowing machines. Our Life Fitness resistance line includes unique bi -lateral machines (L.F. Cable Motion Line) which are designed to give the user a wider range of motion, allowing for more stimulation of the stability muscles. CBAC has 7 pieces of Hammer Strength plate loaded iso-lateral machines to give you the free weight feel with the safety of a resistance machine.”

Karl has a passion for health and fitness. His interest lies in MMA and olympic lifting.” “Eddie grew up in Raleigh North Carolina. There is where at the age of 15, he received his first set of weights. The addiction began then and is still alive. Eddie loved playing sports and has always been very competitive, engaging in any and every competition sports related he could growing up. He attended East Carolina University and majored in business. He then moved to Wilmington, NC and obtained his General Contractors license, though he continued to be very active and play sports. At age 46, Eddie was approached by the owner of the current gym he attended and asked to represent the gym in the Mr. Wilmington Competition. He reluctantly agreed due to never competing before. Eddie won first place in his weight class. After that he competed in 4 more competitions and received his Personal Trainer License through ISSA. He started a business called Weight Training Technologies. At age 50, Eddie competed in the North Carolina Master Men where he won 5th place. Now Eddie is committed and focused on being fit and healthy. Eddie is committed to helping anyone reach their optimal goal through good attitude desire and hard work.”
At Carolina Beach Athletic Club you will also find Manager and Trainer Lala Ohnmacht. “A Certified Personal Fitness Trainer through AFTA, NETA and kettlebell Crossfit certified, FA/CPR in child and adult certified, Lala has been in the fitness industry for 10 years. While being a trainer for 3 years, before Lala was very committed to eating healthy and staying very fit. She trained and ran marathons/half marathons while raising money for Cancer. Born in Pelham, NC she moved to Wilmington to attend College. She currently holds an Associates in Criminal Justice and is a few credits shy of finishing her Bachelors in Psychology. Lala also intends on being a Nutritional Counselor. Her passion helped inspire her to start her own fitness center in Wilmington. Lala has been challenged with several serious auto immune diseases which affect her joints, muscles, and body. She is committed to stay fit and keep fighting these diseases, and determined to not allow them to get in the way of her future goals. Lala has experience working with many different types of clients on all levels of fitness. Her love for fitness and now for others, who suffer from things such as arthritis, motivates her to reach out to them and see them succeed to their full potential. Lala has a sincere desire to see people change their lives through good nutrition and exercise no matter what challenges they may face.
Lala specializes in strength training, increased endurance, and stamina while using short intense type workouts to improve cardiovascular health and keep her clients more motivated. This helps to accommodate workout time restrictions while still providing the same or more caloric output as a longer workout. Lala has helped numerous clients regain strength and mobility through her techniques and welcomes the rewarding challenge. Her focus is not just based in the gym. She teaches proper eating habits and the benefits of beneficial supplementation. Lala strives for optimal results and motivates her clients to achieve their personal goals.”
