Did you know a single blood donation of one pint can save as many as three lives? Someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds, according to the American Red Cross. Knowing every donation counts the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher hosts an American Red Cross Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All donors are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card through the American Red Cross.
The N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher is located a short drive from Wilmington on US 421, south of Kure Beach. The site is less than a mile from the Fort Fisher ferry terminal. Regular hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day). Normal admission: $8, ages 13-61; $7 ages 62 and older; $6 ages 3-12.
