Part of the joy of being in Carolina Beach comes from enjoying the live music on the boardwalk. This Sunday evening another genre of music will join the lineup with a performance by “Simple Truth”, a new contemporary Christian band featuring young adult musicians from our area.
Chelsea Litzinger, a member of the band, stated "While we have all known each other for some time and played together before, our band, Simple Truth, started playing together publicly about mid-summer. We play primarily contemporary Christian music. Our bass player, Will Archer, is a rising sophomore at NC State and has been playing bass for about 7 years now with his church praise band and other miscellaneous groups.
He is a member of Pine Valley UMC in Wilmington. Our guitar player, Ryan McFall, is a rising sophomore at UNCW and has been playing for about 9 years. He is also a member of Pine Valley UMC in Wilmington and has played with their church praise band for several years.
Emily Wilder is a rising sophomore at East Carolina University and has been singing for as long as she can remember in choir and the church praise band. She is a member at Wesley Memorial UMC. Chelsea Litzinger has been playing and singing for about 8 years with her church praise band and she is also a member at Wesley Memorial UMC. Our group loves any opportunity to get out and play and share our faith with the community and feel very blessed to be able to play together."
St. Paul’s UMC invites you to the gazebo at the boardwalk this Sunday, August 11th at 7:00pm. Plan to sit back, enjoy the music, support these young musicians with your presence, and be reminded of why we love being here!
