Work Continues On Snow's Cut Bridge Project; Dow Road Project To Start Soon

Crews continue working on the $4.6 million dollar Snow's Cut Bridge preservation project. Earlier this week resurfacing began on the two southbound lanes. Once that work is complete those lanes will be reopened and the remaining two-lanes will be closed for repairs and resurfacing over a number of months.

Kure Beach Planning Triathlon For Summer 2013

The Town of Kure Beach voted in 2012 not to permit the Kure Beach Double Sprint Triathlon to hold an event in 2013 due to an outstanding $240 unpaid balance for Town fees associated with the event. Now the Town's fire department and a non-profit are planning their own similar event.

Kure Beach Council Gets Update On Oceanfront Park Project

The new Oceanfront Park on Atlantic Avenue in downtown Kure Beach is nearing completion and should be completed by the end of this month. The Town Council was informed of several last minute issues during their January 15, meeting.
