It’s been around two decades since Olde Salty’s opened on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and over that time they have grown a reputation as one of the best seafood restaurants the Island has to offer.  Olde Salty’s is well known for their authentic atmosphere, proximity to the beach and consistently providing the most delicious fresh seafood to their hungry patrons.
Olde Salty’s boasts a menu with unbeatable selections from starters to dessert.  Start your meal with any of their great appetizer selections like steamed oysters and shrimp, the tasty coconut shrimp or their world famous crab dip.  They serve up the very best in fried and steamed selections, like shrimp, flounder, deviled crab, clams, oysters and even soft shell crab sandwiches all year long.  They are still the home of the blue plate special for only $8.95 that combines your choice of fried seafood along with fries, slaw and hushpuppies.  You can order a large fried or steamed seafood dinner and even combinations of your favorites out of options which include flounder, shrimp, oysters, deviled crab, clam strips, and crab cakes.  All of their entrees are the most reasonably priced in town, are served with your choice of two sides and you can always add a trip to the huge salad bar. There deviled crab is stuffed in house and they are the only place in town serving up shrimp stuffed or jalapeno stuffed deviled crab!  All of Olde Salty’s steamed seafood selections are also served with hushpuppies and two sides.  All of their cole slaw, tartar and cocktail sauces are all made in house and you can taste the difference.  If you’re not in the mood for seafood you can still find some other great dinner choices at Olde Salty’s.  Try their homemade original Olde Salty’s recipe “Chicken Florentine” made with fresh zucchini, sautéed spinach and bacon smothering an 8oz filet of chicken.   If you are stopping in for a quick bite or a light lunch try any of their great seafood and non seafood sandwiches and burgers.  No matter your mood you will always find the perfect lunch or dinner at Olde Salty’s.  Olde Salty’s also features daily specials as well as homemade desserts like bread pudding and cobblers.
Olde Salty’s “A Little on the Side” Late Night Bar and Game Room is one of the hottest spots on the Boardwalk.  Offering a full bar with the friendliest bartenders and tastiest drinks in town “A Little On the Side” is the perfect spot to hang out and have fun with friends.  There’s always entertainment with various games, pool table, bowling machine, the only free shuffleboard in town, and even tournaments and contests throughout the week.  Join them on Monday nights for the new Shuffleboard Tournament starting at 7 p.m.  On Tuesdays they hold their Bowling Tournament at 7 p.m. and on Wednesdays everyone bring your smartest friends or at least the ones who know tons of useless information for the trivia contest!  Feel free to order anything off the menu and wash it down with their daily drink special.  On Mondays through Fridays show up early and snack on some $3 apps from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
“A Little on the Side” is the perfect location to host your next party or event.  Stop in and inquire about birthdays or other special occasions.
