Masonboro Urgent Care serves the Southern New Hanover County area with a breadth of services that range from minor emergencies to primary care.  Family owned and operated, Masonboro Urgent Care is our area’s “first choice for health care services.  Minor emergencies, from falls and cuts, to sudden illness, colds and flu, can be treated fast and efficiently, usually with minimal wait times.” You won’t find a more trusted professional and friendlier staff anywhere in the area which is why so many people place their confidence in Masonboro Urgent Care.  With the arrival of summer comes a whole new set of minor emergencies that can seem almost commonplace when we take to the beach, the water and any of our favorite outdoor activities.  Most any of your “summer fun” related injuries can be treated by the team at Masonboro Urgent Care. They can remove fish hooks; patch you up from encounters with oyster shells and other hazards which leave you with minor lacerations, they can treat you for your sunburns and even minor fractures.
Injuries are bound to happen and when they do always remember that Masonboro Urgent Care is only 5 minutes from Pleasure Island and they are ready and willing to get you patched up and back out enjoying the summer!
Masonboro Urgent Care is able to offer such great care with their state of the art equipment and facility located just one mile south of Monkey Junction.  With x-ray equipment and an onsite lab they are able to quickly diagnose and treat everything from minor cuts to broken bones or sudden illness.  They see patients on an open schedule which means that if you are sick, injured or otherwise have a need for a medical provider today; you will be seen today no matter what your problem.  Average appointment time is around 10 minutes with an average wait of just about 20 minutes.  “We will assess and stabilize patients with sprains, strains, fractures, respiratory tract infections, ear aches, lacerations, or any other problem that you might present with.  However for serious illnesses or injuries we may refer you to specialists, or the emergency or even start iv’s and oxygen while we wait for the ambulance to transport you to the emergency. Because we can do iv‘s, and get basic lab tests and x-rays in our office we can have the results available within minutes. For this reason we can also treat a broader spectrum of illness and injuries without the patient having to leave the facility than most doctor’s offices and urgent cares. This of course helps keep the costs down and makes it much more convenient of our patients.”  Masonboro Urgent Care offer a long list of available services to their patients including family medicine care, diagnostic testing, and occupational and workman’s comp services, for everyone in your family from the infants to the adults.  Their diagnostic capabilities include services like, x-rays, EKG, labs, vision screening, school physicals and much more.  “We can also take care of you occupational medicine needs too: drug screens, TB tests, Tetanus and flu shots.”  With digital x ray and lab facilities on site most emergency blood work, labs and x rays can be done right in the office and results made available during your appointment.  Masonboro Urgent Care asks that physical exams be scheduled ahead of time.  They offer routine blood work services on Wednesdays.  They consider themselves as well a “pit stop” for healthy people to receive care to continue to remain healthy as they live their busy lifestyle.  Masonboro Urgent Care will get you in, get your situation assessed and have you on the mend quickly.
