WILMINGTON – Joe’s Oasis Bar and Grill is a family friendly neighborhood bar and grill that is located in the Masonboro Commons Shopping Center. Joe’s opened for business on Nov. 26, 2013; their grand opening celebration is scheduled for Feb. 8. You can expect food and drink specials all day, a DJ at 7:30 p.m. and raffles and prizes throughout the night. A portion of all appetizer purchased between Feb. 7 through 9 will be donated to Step up for Soldiers.
Want to choose what you will win? Stop in any time before Saturday and receive two tickets for every $10 you spend to drop in the bucket of your choice. Owner Cathy Krizner moved to Wilmington in December 2012 after retiring as a job developer/career counselor from Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA. Her dream was to build a Pittsburgh themed bar named for her late husband where she could serve her own burger recipe for others to enjoy. She brought with her other favorites from southwest Pennsylvania including Isaly’s Chipped Chopped Ham; a Steelworker Stack that piles the sides on the sandwich, and Pittsburgh brewed Iron City Beer. The menu at Joe’s consists of mostly sandwiches that you can build yourself including their top selling  Reuben with beer battered French fries.
For the health conscious diners, Joe’s offers a selection of lighter items including vegetable sides, garden burgers, or soup and salad. In addition to the sandwich selection, you will find items like Head Cook, David Landgreen’s homemade family recipe for pirogues, or in house beer battered cod fillets that they serve as a sandwich or in a basket with fries.
Joe’s Oasis has a full selection of beer, wine and liquors to mix most drinks and offers daily specials that are updated daily on their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/joesoasisnc Most importantly,
Joe’s is where you can go to watch all the games. With eight TV’s you can choose your seat and the staff will be happy to find your game. Although Krizner is from Pittsburgh and cheers for the black and gold any team is welcome. General Manager Billy Hughes strives to provide quality food and service that makes everyone feel welcome. Joe’s is lining up entertainment for the days when there is not a big game, including Tuesday Karaoke.
