CAROLINA BEACH - The Town of Carolina Beach announced last week the hiring of Gilbert DuBois for the newly created position of Public Utilities and Capital Projects Director position. Gil, a Carolina Beach resident, will begin work on June 10, 2013 at a salary of $ 75, 721 per year.
Gil will oversee the Town’s public utilities activities and manage all related capital projects. His duties will include the overall administration of the Town’s water and sewer systems, wastewater system, and fleet maintenance.
Interim Town Manager Bruce Shell says, “Gil brings a level of expertise that includes over twenty-one years of working with municipalities to identify and solve their water and wastewater problems. We are happy to have him as a part of the Carolina Beach team.”
Gil formerly worked as Water and Sewer Pipeline Construction Manager for the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.
