Boy’s fall to 3rd Place in the Conference and have Senior Night Friday
• 2/5 – Ashley 50 New Hanover 77 – The Screaming Eagles had some scoring trouble in Tuesday Nights game against New Hanover on the road. The Wildcats held were ahead by 22-points at halftime and as many as 37-points at one point. The loss drops the Eagles to 3-3 on the season and 13-6 Overall. The Eagles top scorer was Ridell Cambridge who had 26-points for the Eagles.
• 2/8 – Ashley 58 New Bern 50 – The Screaming Eagles Varsity Basketball team was able to rebound from their loss to New Hanover with a home win against the New Bern Bears this past Friday Night. After a close 12-11 1st quarter the Eagles offense exploded with 23-points in the 2nd quarter to take a 11-point lead into the halftime break 35-24. New Bern refused to quit and was able to outscore the Eagles in the 3rd and 4th quarter, but the Eagles 111-point 1st half lead was too much to over come. The Eagles were able to improve to 14-6 Overall and 5-3 in the Conference with there 58-50 win over New Bern. The Boys have 2 games left in the Conference before they start the 1st Round of Tournament Play. They will have played Hoggard on Tuesday Night and will play their Final Home Game of the Season Friday night at Ashley against Laney for Senior Night.
