6th Annual SandBlast Beach Soccer Tournament brought in over 80 Teams: Part 2

In the U13 Girls - Beach Division Cape Fear Pirates took 1st Place with a 3-1 record and scored 23 goals.

Below are the results from Sunday’s Games:
• Girls U8 – Chick-Fil-A advanced to the Championship Game and improved to 3-0 after the won Game 1 7-0 over Masonboro Family Medicine. Brush Dental was able to also move up after their close 5-4 win over Land Shark. In the 3rd game Crusherz was able to improve to 1-2 after they defeated Froggy Charms 5-1. The Last Game was to determine 1st and 2nd Place and it was a close one with Brush Dental picking up the only goal against Chick-Fil-A. Brush Dental was 3-1 in the tournament with 14 goals, allowed 11 and had 13 total points.
• Girls U9/U10 – Shooting Stars A improved to 3-0 and advancing into the Championship Game after their close win over Subsurface Support. In the 2nd game Rainbow Sandals improved to 2-1 after their 2-0 shutout victory over Lightning advancing them into the Championship Game. Shooting Stars B improved to 2-1 and took 3rd Place after their 5-2 win over Boston Strong. In the Championship Game its was another close game with Shooting Stars A winning by 1 goal 3-2 over Rainbow Sandals.
• Girls U11 – Hang Ten was able to claim 1ast Place after their 1-0 win over Carolina Kickers. In the 2nd Game Beach Babes got their 1st win of the tournament 6-1 over Epic. Hang Ten was 3-0 with 8 goals, allowed 4 goals and had 13 total points.
• Girls U12 – In the 1st game Puffer Fish improved to 2-1 after they defeated Castle Hayne Farms. In Game 2 Tuff Cookies improved to 3-0 after their 10-0 shutout over The Heartbreakers. The followed up Game 3 with the same result as Game 2 this time against Lady Breakers to claim 1st Place with a 4-0 record. In Game 4 The Puffer Fish claimed 2nd Place after they defeated The Heartbreakers 8-0. In the final Game Lady Breakers and Castle Hayne Farms ended in a 6-6 tie. Tuff Cookies  finished with a 4-0 record, had 29 goals scored, allowed just 2 goals, and finished with 23 total points.
• Girls U13 – Ocean Division – Tripods improved to 2-1 in the tournament after they defeated Can’t Touch This in a close game 4-3. In the 2nd game Cape Fear Pirates also improved to 2-1 after they defeated Ballheads. In game 3 Cape Fear Pirates was able to take 1st Place after they defeated Fay Force – Blue by a final score of 5-1. In the 4th game Ballheads was able to claim 2nd Place after they defeated 4-2 Tripods. In the final game Fay Force – Blue defeated Can’t Touch This by a final score of 5-1. Cape Fear Pirates finished with a 3-1 record, scored 23 goals, allowed 6 and score 17 Total Points.
• Girls U13 – Beach Division – I game 1 Sand Sharks were able to pick up their 1st win of the tournament 6-3 over Fay Force – White. In game 2 1 goal decided this game and it was GUTS that walked way with their 1st win of the tournament over Thomas W. Murphy Agency 3-2. In game 3 GUTS picked up their 2nd win and took 1st Place after their 8-4 win over Monster’s. In the 4th Game Sand Sharks was able toclaim 2nd Place after their 5-4 win over Thomas W. Murphy Agency. In the final game Sea Monster’s was able to pick up the win 4-2 over Fay Force – White.
• Girls U14 – Couldn’t locate these scores.
• Girls U15/U16 – Couldn’t locate these scores.
• Girls U17/U18 – Couldn’t locate these scores.
• U9 Boys – The Hammerheads won their final game of the tournament 4-1 over Sting Rays. In the other game Motherwell already had 1st Place wrapped up, but that didn’t stop them from picking up the win anyway 4-2 over Victory Awards & Trophies who finished in 2nd Place.
• U10 Boys – In the 1st game of the day Mistaken Identity was on the right side of a 2-1 game against Mini Messis. In the 2nd game Hammerheads defeated Cleveland United 2-1 leaving them with a 1-2 record. In the 3rd Game Beastie Boys and Cleveland United Strikers battled it out for 1st and 2nd Place and it was all Beastie Boys as they rolled on to a 5-1 win. In the 4th game Fake Madrid and Mistaken Identity battled it out and finished in a 1-1 tie.
• U11 Boys – A Team improved to 3-0 after their close 3-2 win over Chill-Sea in Game 1. In Game 2 The Real Avengers also improved to 3-0 after their 5-3 win over Bob King, making for a show down for 1st and 2nd Place between them and A Team at 11AM. The 3rd game saw Wicked Tuna pick up their 1st win of the game 6-3 over Admiral Attack. In the Championship Game A Team was able to pull away winning 6-3 over Real Avengers. A Team was 4-0 with: 28 Goals scored, allowed 13, 21 Total Points.
• U12/U13 Boys – In the 1st game of the day SandBlasters and Top Guns ended in a 3-3 tie. In the 2nd Game Sandinyaface improved to 1-2 after their close 2-1 win over Beach LADZ. In the 3rd Game Beach LADZ and Pizzetta’s Pizza ended in a 3-3 tie. In the 4th game Top Guns was able to lock up 2nd Place after they defeated Sandinyaface FC by a final score of 6-1. Pizzetta’s Pizza went into this game needing a tie or win to take 1st Place in the tournament. After the game was all said and done they ended up tied 1-1 with Sand Blaster’s giving them 1st Place in the tournament by 2 Total Points. Pizzetta’s Pizza was 2-0-2 in the tournament with 18 goals scored 11 goals allowed and 13 Total Points.
• U14 Boys –CBLFC scored at will in their game against Buffalo Soldiers 15-0 was the final score. In the 2nd Game Cape Fear Futbol Club was able to claim 1st Place after their 2-1 win over Breakers. Cape Fear Futbol won all 3 of their games, had 19 points scored, allowed 6, 16 Total Points.
• U15/U16 Boys – MUCS was able to pick up their 1st win of the tournament after their 5-0 shutout win over Beach Boys. In the 2nd game The Squad claimed 1st Place after they defeated the 2nd Place team Hash Tag 4-2. The Squad was 3-0 in the tournament, scored 15 goals, allowed 6 and finished with 15 total points.
• U17/U18 Boys – Not many Total points separated 1st Place – 3rd Place in this division. In the 1st Game Balls on the Beach improved to 2-1 after their 3-1 win over UOENOIT. In the 2nd game Last Minute improved to 3-0 after there 7-3 over Harrisburg Soccer U17B. Harrisburg Improved to 3-1 with 14 Total Points after they defeated close 3-2 win over Thunder Downunder in Game 3. Last Minute went into the final game with 1st Placer in the bag, while Balls on the Beach was fighting for 2nd Place and after a close game Balls on the Beach was able to win by enough to sneak into 2nd Place by 1 Total Point. In the final game Thunder Downunder and UOENOIT finished in a 5-5 tie. Last Minute finished with a 3-1 record, 24 Goals, 11 goals allowed, and 18 Total Points.
