Have you ever wanted to learn how to handle a firearm properly? Do you already own a gun and just need a good range to shoot at? In either case, Bullzeye shooting sports has got what you are looking for. Whether you are a novice who needs a little training or an experienced veteran, Bullzeye shooting sports is the place for you. “Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for shooters of various experience levels.”
Bullzeye has a state-of-the-art shooting range. Their range is 40 yards and equipped to handle pistols and rifles up to 30-06. Each of their eight shooting lanes has its own heating and air conditioning and an automatic target retrieval system. If you don’t own a gun but still want to shoot, they have a wide variety of firearms available to rent. If you would like to purchase a pistol or rifle from Bullzeye and would like to try it out first, you can rent a lane to take your new firearm for a test run. These are just a few of Bullzeye’s dozens of gun rental options: 22s, like the Walther P22 (2 Mags), High Standard Sport King 103 and Ruger SR22;  380s, like the Walther PK380, Glock G42, Ruger LCP 380, and the Sig Sauer P250; 9mms, such as Beretta M9A1, Ruger SR9C (2 Mags), Ruger LC9, Springfield XDS (2 Mags), Springfield XD (2 Mags), Smith & Wesson M&P 9 shield (2 Mags), Glock 19 Gen 4, Taurus PT 709, Sig Sauer 938 (2 Mags) and Sig Sauer P250; 38s like the Smith & Wesson 60-7; 40s, like the Bersa Thunder 40 PRO, Springfield XDM, Glock 27, and Glock 23 Gen 4; 45s, such as the Sig Sauer 1911 Scorpion and the Glock 36 Gen 3 (2 Mags); and rifles, like the Sig Sauer 516G2 556, Diamondback DB155 223/556 and the Ruger 10/22 TD 22LR (2 Mags). Please keep in mind that rental guns will change from time to time. If you would like to rent a lane at the range for the day, lane rental starts at $15.00 per hour. If you are bringing a second person to shoot with you and you will be sharing the lane, it’s only $7.50 per hour for the second person. Eye and ear protection are provided with your lane rental. Renting a pistol or rifle from the range is just $15.00 per hour and loose paper targets are just $1.50 each.
Also available are Bullzeye Member Packages. These are good for one year and come in various different plans. You can get an individual plan or family plan, or if you are active or retired law enforcement, military, fire service or EMS, you can get an individual or family “Patriot” plan for a discounted price. There are also corporate plans for groups of coworkers, or annual ID cards, which will significantly reduce your annual lane expenses.
At Bullzeye they offer pistol and rifle training classes. Classes consist of small qroups of 8 to 10 people for a more personal session of individual hands-on gun training. There are 2 to 4 hour classes for your choice of handgun or rifle instruction. Instruction includes techniques on firearm safety, gun handling, arm and shoot techniques and firearm maintenance and storage. At the end of the class, each individual will be given an instructor supervised live fire session on the Bullzeye range, with safety equipment provided for you. The customer must provide ammo for lane firing sessions. You will earn a BullZeye Certificate upon successful completion of the course. Also, completion of the class will allow you to move into the BullZeye Concealed Carry Class with a good head start.
Bullzeye Shooting Sports is located at 5942 Market Street in Wilmington. Range hours are Sunday, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday through Saturday, from 9:00am to 8:00pm. For more information call them at (910) 470-0092. You can also visit their website at
