After visiting the 8th most acclaimed ice cream parlor in the United States (NBC Today Show), walk up a few steps to their Gift Gallery, unlike any other because Squigley's Gift Store is not a typical beach towel, tee shirt, sand toy, me-too knick-knack shop. Instead, you'll find nautical, non-nautical, personal, home décor, gifts at all possible price ranges appropriate for any location in the world. Cost values?? It will beat Wilmington & Wrightsville Beach gift stores along with an item selection assortment in the thousands.

Owners, Ann and Joe, are locals who for 27 years have offered an unparalleled level of service and impeccable selections of jewelry, clothing, home décor, military items and million year old fossils including Megalodon teeth.

In addition, Squigley's also offers both fashion and fine jewelry such as Larimar designed by an artist who did work for Oscar de la Renta, also from the Dominican Republic where this increasingly rare stone is only found. Add Brazilian Amethyst, Rainbow Quartz, Baltic Amber, Chilean Lapis Lazuli, USA Turquoise and much, much more. Squigley's also has hundreds of toys, jewelry, stuffed animals, etc. for younger children and a large assortment of rings for men.

As customers weave around this 1930's building, they joyously find both handmade and manufactured goods from all over the world that cannot be found anywhere else. Ann & Joe spend five months every year traveling to mountain dwelling crafters, large and small gift shows, antique shops and jewelry shows.

Being in business near three decades, Squigley's access to USA and overseas shopping, in about 60 countries so far, allows them to find and offer unique items at lower than normal prices even on upscale products. People from Arizona buy their turquoise at lower prices than at home. This past week a Russian lady purchased a lamp at half the price of the city where she lives. Larimar at Squigley's is less expensive than the islands of the Caribbean.

The selection and pricing at Squigley's are chosen to appeal to the fixed incomes of many tourists as well as those stationed at Ft. Bragg and Camp Lejeune. Squigley's Gift Gallery enjoys being a fun-filled, family destination and veteran owned business that is also unique in that ice creams ordered downstairs are hand delivered to customers upstairs and you can enjoy it while you shop.

Just in case you've forgotten, or have never visited, here are a few more items available at Squigley's Gift Gallery: handmade ornamental guitars, Marilyn Monroe art, scores of signs, ranging from a few inches square to six feet long, garden statues, handbags, door carpets, furniture throws, mood lights, glassware, crystal, ornaments, hand lotions, incense, children's books, dream catchers in all sizes, bar items, chimes, wall décor of all types that you couldn't imagine.

As you stroll out of the ice cream parlor with one of the over 4,000 flavors, and then visit the unique gift store , we hope you enjoy a memorable time in this one-stop diverse destination with a character you won't find anywhere else. ENJOY!
