Fort Fisher 2325, UDC Hosts Historical “Southern Women in Mourning“ Program

The Fort Fisher #2325Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy hosted an historical evening program for their October meeting, featuring the Curator of Education at The Maritime Museum in Southport, Ms. Lori Sanderlin, who presented her “Southern Women in Mourning”, including period fashions of that time, as well as well planned slide show of our North Carolina area. Ms. Sanderlin’s daughter is a member of the Chapter and assisted her mother in the presentation. The Chapter welcomes inquires from Southern women who have Confederate ancestry.
